OPP seek tips in overnight vehicle theft in Whitewater Region

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help in locating a pickup truck that was stolen out of its owner's driveway overnight in Whitewater Region.
Police believe the truck, a 1998 Ford F150, was stolen Thursday evening from a home on Beachburg Road.
The truck is orange and black with numerous decals on the rear window, with Ontario plates CB77861, OPP say.

Vehicle thefts, overall, fell in Ontario in 2024. The number of incidents fell from around 30,000 in 2023 to around 25,000 in 2024. That was still higher than any other province in Canada.
The Ontario government recently announced legislation that would give police the authority to seize electronic devices that are intended to be used for vehicle theft.
