Cam Heyward describes stopping Week 14 Ravens' Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry in five words

Cam Heyward describes stopping Week 14 Ravens' Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry in five words The 2025 Steelers measuring stick game is clear — Week 14 in Baltimore against the Ravens, and Pittsburgh's veteran DT Cameron Heyward knows it all too well. On his podcast, Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, the Steelers DT summed up the Week 14 meeting between the Steel City and Ravens in five powerful words: "Got to stop the run." Truer words have never been spoken. Baltimore exposed the Steelers' run defense in Week 16 of 2024 — as RB Derrick Henry ran for 162 yards on just 24 carries — the most regular season rushing yards Pittsburgh has ever given up to a Ravens player. Just a few short weeks later, Henry destroyed Pittsburgh once more, this time in the Wild-Card round of the playoffs — accumulating 186 rushing yards and two TDs on just 26 carries. And that was just Henry, as the two-time MVP Ravens QB Lamar Jackson also ran for over 80 rushing yards in the Wild-Card beat down over the Steelers. It was a major point of emphasis to revamp the run defense this offseason — and that's exactly what the Steelers did in the 2025 NFL Draft — but no one will know for sure until Pittsburgh faces off against Baltimore in Week 14 of the 2025 season.

Revisiting the shockingly bad Steelers–Shedeur Sanders trade scenario

Revisiting the shockingly bad Steelers–Shedeur Sanders trade scenario The Steelers walked away from the 2025 NFL Draft as clear winners on the defensive side of the football — but passing on Shedeur Sanders raised the eyebrows of many. If the decision to pass on Sanders on three separate opportunities proved anything, it's that Pittsburgh — like the majority of the NFL — didn't value what he can bring to an offense, which makes Colin Cowherd's previous trade scenario look even worse. Days after the Ravens exposed the Steelers in a 2024 Wild-Card playoff matchup, Cowherd suggested a hilariously bad trade scenario: Pittsburgh should send two first-round picks, T.J. Watt, and George Pickens to trade up and draft Sanders. Yikes. Cowherd did try to take some of the heat off himself by stating the Steelers should make the move 'if' they believe Sanders could be the guy, but it still seems like a freezing cold take. Hearing the idea was rough in January — but after he dropped into the fifth round, it's clear the Steelers weren't sold on mortgaging their future for Sanders. Pulling the trigger on a QB in the 2026 NFL Draft, though, feels like a different story altogether.

3 Takeaways: Golden Knights Douse Flames With 3-2 Win To Snap Two-Game Skid

Photo Credit: Brett Holmes-Imagn Images LAS VEGAS -- The Golden Knights grabbed a much-needed win Saturday, snapping a two-game skid with a 3-2 overtime win in Calgary over the Wild Card hopeful Flames. Reilly Smith scored twice, including the overtime winner at the 4:31 mark to lift the Knights to a win, and extend their lead in the Pacific Division to three points over the hard-charging Los Angeles Kings. Advertisement Akira Schmid, who is now active while regular backup Ilya Samsonov is nursing an injury, made 21 saves for the victory in his first start of the season. Pavel Dorofeyev opened the scoring for Vegas with a first-period strike. It was his team-leading 33rd of the season. Here are three takeaways from the game: POTENTIAL REMATCH? Despite the loss, Calgary moved within four points of idle Minnesota for the second Wild-Card spot in the Western Conference. The Flames are still very relevant in the playoff race, as they've got a game in hand on Minnesota and a meeting with the Wild at the Saddledome this coming Friday. With Calgary keeping their playoff flame burning, it remains one of Vegas' potential first-round foes. Advertisement PACIFIC DIVISION POWER: Though the Golden Knights suffered losses to the Oilers and Kings recently, they boast a 16-4-1 record against the entire Pacific Division. The intradivision success could come into play if either the Knights miraculously end up facing the Flames in the first round, or were to drop out of first place and meet either the Oilers or Kings in the opening round. PK TURNAROUND: After allowing power-play goals in each of the last two games - both losses - the Golden Knights were a perfect 4 for 4 with their penalty kill in Calgary. It was a much-needed boost to a penalty kill that came into the game ranked 26th overall on the PK, including a dismal 30th on the road. With the season winding down, and the power play a heavy emphasis in the postseason, Vegas' penalty kill will be essential for a Stanley Cup run.

Eagles' star A.J. Brown weighs in on rivalry with Commanders' Marshon Lattimore

Marshon Lattimore debuted in the burgundy and gold in Week 15 against his former team, the New Orleans Saints. The following week, the Commanders' new cornerback was tested, facing the Philadelphia Eagles and wide receiver A.J. Brown. It was a tough day for Lattimore. He won some battles with Brown but also lost some. That game will be best remembered for three pass interference penalties called on Lattimore. While the calls were questionable, it was a rough game for the veteran cornerback, and he'd depart after further injuring his hamstring. Lattimore would sit the season's final two games as the Commanders hoped his hamstring would heal in time for the playoffs. Lattimore returned for the playoffs but struggled in the Wild-Card win over the Buccaneers. He was solid in the NFC Divisional Round win over the Lions before a rematch with Brown loomed in the NFC championship. The Commanders struggled against the Eagles. Turnovers plagued the offense while Brown had his way with Lattimore. Philadelphia went on to win the game and would win Super Bowl LIX. This week, Brown joined the 'Kickin' It With Dee' podcast, discussing his rivalry with Lattimore. 'He's a really good player, but I really don't know, his persona comes off like 'I'm finna bully you,' and that's how he comes off,' Brown said. 'I bully the bully; I'm not going for none of that out here.' Brown seemed perplexed about why Lattimore always wanted to mix it up with him. 'Bro, why are you acting like this? He's talking, doing weird stuff after the play, trying to shove you after the play, he's trying to get in your head.' AJ Brown on Marshon Lattimore: 'He's a really good player, but his persona comes off like 'I'm finna bully you'… He's talking, doing weird stuff after the play, trying to shove you after the play, he's trying to get in your head.' (@KickinItWithDee) — SleeperNFL (@SleeperNFL) February 20, 2025 The Commanders won the game in Week 16, but the Eagles won the most critical battle in the NFC championship game. Lattimore has two years remaining on his contract, so his tangles with Brown next season should continue to be fun.
