Will Levrault
netted his 1,000th point on a putback during the Lakers' 62-56 South Coast Conference win over Seekonk. Levrault is the sixth 1,000-point scorer in program history — 10th in school history — and just second in the last 24 years.

Shawsheen's Franck Moron became the school's first boys' basketball player to reach 1,000 points since 2008 when he reached the mark in a 42-41 overtime win over Greater Lawrence.

Bryce Kankam
dominated with 34 points and 16 rebounds to beat Northeast, 68-63.
Bourne had three stars unto itself during a 79-68 road victory against Greater New Bedford.

3. Mansfield gymnastics stings Attleboro
The Attleboro gymnastics team handed Mansfield its only loss of the regular season. But when the two teams met again on Friday night in the Hockomock League Gymnastics Championships at Hanover's Starland Sportsplex, it was Mansfield that came out the winner.
Mansfield won the team title for the second consecutive year 144.35 to Attleboro's 139.35. King Philip finished third with a 136.95.

5. Sectional swim schedule in flux
Sunday's MIAA boys swimming South sectional at MIT has been moved from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. due to the expected snowstorm Saturday night.
The boys' North sectional has been moved from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., but the MIAA has further contingency plans depending on the storm's severity:
B. Move South sectional to 1:45 p.m. and North sectional to 6:15 p.m.
C. Hold both meets simultaneously starting at 3:45 p.m. In this instance no spectators would be allowed. Refunds would be offered.
D. Meet is cancelled.
A final call will be made by 7 a.m. Sunday and posted on the MIAA website.
6. Introducing General Flynn
After one season as an assistant at Masconomet, former NFL offensive lineman
Mike Flynn
is returning to South Hamilton as the new head football coach at Hamilton-Wenham.
Flynn previously spent five seasons coaching Pingree, about a four-mile drive from his new home field. Flynn had a 37-8-2 record with the Highlanders from 2018-23 and finished atop the Evergreen Division of the NEPSAC.
A Springfield Cathedral (now Pope Francis) graduate who grew up in Agawam, Flynn played at Maine before being signed by the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 1997. He made his NFL debut the following year for Baltimore and played 10 seasons, starting Super Bowl XXXV at right guard.

, a St. John's Prep graduate from Andover, has been named to the preseason watch list for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes award. Lane earned third-team All-America and first-team All-CAA accolades last season after hitting .375 and tying the school record with 80 RBIs.

, who now plays for Tufts, was named a Nike Lacrosse Preseason Men's Division 3 Media All-American.

Lauren Dunn
scored her 1,000th point for Curry College on Thursday during a 23-point performance to beat Wentworth, 72-60.
Xaverian running back/linebacker
Vincent Busa
, who decommitted from Rhode Island on Wednesday, announced he will play at Sacred Heart on Friday. Busa, who won two Super Bowls with the Hawks, ran for 1,413 yards and 20 touchdowns and made 126 tackles as a senior.

The Seekonk Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome 10 new members in its Class of 2025. They will be inducted on March 22 at 6 p.m. at the Attleboro Elks.

9. Coaches, coaches, and more coaches
▪ At Bishop Feehan they announced the hiring of
Gary Trottier
('12) as pitching coordinator and strength and conditioning coach. After pitching for Lasell, he returned to the school as pitching coach from 2020-24, in addition to serving as pitching coach for the NECBL's Mystic Schooners from 2020-22.
▪ From earlier in the week: Middleborough has promoted
Jeff Sylvia
to be its head baseball coach.
Sylvia, who spent last year as an assistant under
Josh Porter
, spent 12 years as the head coach at Taunton, guiding the Tigers to six league championships and two Division 1 South finals.
The former New Bedford High state champion as a player was a two-time Little East All-Conference player at UMass Dartmouth. He has served as an assistant at New Bedford (winning another state title) and Bridgewater-Raynham.

Cam Fox
as its baseball coach.
He replaces
Mike Connolly
after three seasons. Fox had been serving as a pitching coach at his alma mater, Braintree, after graduating from Rhode Island, where he pitched.
Fox has served as an assistant at Roger Williams and coached Braintree's Post 86 team to the 2018 American Legion World Series. Under Connolly, the Tigers reached back-to-back Division 1 quarterfinals in 2022 and 2023.
