Southern Tier Singers present ‘Constellation'
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Southern Tier Singers Collective is exploring the spiritual connection between humans and the heavenly bodies.
The group is presenting Constellation on Saturday.
The show, which is inspired by the night sky, uses sacred and secular works to evoke feelings of peace, love, and compassion in audience members.
Artistic Director William Culverhouse says our lives are a cosmic narrative, drawing inspiration from the beauty and mystery of the night sky.
'The whole concert is about the stars and how our lives are reflected in them, or how we see our lives reflected in the stars, the way we love, the way we hope, the way we dream, the way we fear, the way we aspire to be better people. All of that has a relationship with the stars and the night sky,' said Culverhouse.
The show will take place at 7:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, located 9 Leroy Street in Binghamton.
The concert is free to attend, but voluntary donations will be accepted.
