Bobby Flay brings the heat and his new romance to BottleRock Napa Valley

Food Network star Bobby Flay made his debut at BottleRock Napa Valley on the final day of the festival, bringing the heat and his new girlfriend onstage. The 'Beat Bobby Flay' star and fellow celebrity chef Brooke Williamson confirmed their relationship just a month ago and weren't shy about their romance when Flay showed off his skills during a rib eye steak cooking demonstration on the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage on Sunday, May 25, with guest sous chef and MLB legend Ken Griffey Jr. The crowd went wild when Flay asked, 'Can I bring my girlfriend onstage?' for a quick tasting of each of the hot sauces he and Griffey made with Fresno chilies. But things got really spicy when emcee Liam Mayclem asked Williamson about her favorite meal Flay cooks for her at home. 'Breakfast,' quipped Griffey, drawing the biggest laughs of the set. Mayclem then had Williamson, a 'Triple Threat' co-star of Flay's and fellow BottleRock veteran Michael Voltaggio, try each slab of dry rub steak. 'Tell us whose meat you like more,' he said, again setting off a wave of laughter. Things got extra spicy on the culinary stage today @BottleRockNapa 🔥 What a power couple @bflay @ChefBrookeW 💕 — Mariecar Mendoza (@SFMarMendoza) May 26, 2025 All jokes aside, Flay and Wiliamson make quite the celebrity chef power couple. With Williamson a 'Top Chef' runner-up and the inaugural 'Tournament of Champions' victor, and Flay the first American 'Iron Chef,' the two may be the most winningest culinary TV contest chefs. What's next for the two fierce competitors? Flay teased that the pair are scheduled to appear on a forthcoming episode of 'Celebrity Family Feud' via Instagram Stories on Thursday, May 22, with his daughter, Sophie.

BottleRock 2025: Benson Boone serves up Moonbeam ice cream inspired by new single

Benson Boone's first backflip of BottleRock Napa Valley didn't take place during his festival set. Nor did it occur in a flashy jumpsuit. Instead, the pop singer, simply donning jeans and a T-shirt, performed his signature move at the closing of his debut on BottleRock's Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage on Saturday, May 24. Boone joined Green Day drummer Tré Cool and 'Righteous Gemstones' star Adam Devine, who constructed massive seafood rolls, to dish up Moonbeam ice cream. The dessert is a nod to his latest single, 'Mystical Magical.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Benson Boone (@bensonboone) The single, released just last month off his forthcoming album, 'American Heart' (due out June 20), features Boone singing, 'Nothing else will feel right, you can feel like / Moonbeam ice cream, taking off your blue jeans / Dancing at the movies, 'cause it feels so / Mystical, magical.' It's unclear where Boone got the idea for Moonbeam ice cream, but the day before the song dropped, he teased the release on Instagram with a photo of him holding a purple pint of ice cream labeled 'Benny's Moonbeam Ice Cream.' Moonbeam ice cream then started trending on social media with fans and ice cream shops releasing their interpretations of the icy treat. Most feature unconventional combinations of ingredients for a concoction that feels — you guessed it — magical and mystical. Some iterations contain glitter, bright pastel colors and swirls, but Boone brought his original recipe to BottleRock — which he admitted was his first-ever time making it from scratch. See Green Day make its debut performance at BottleRock music festival in Napa

Two Bay Area institutions collided on Friday night, and the result was explosive. For the first time, East Bay alt-punk-rock band Green Day performed at the long-running BottleRock music festival in Napa. Lead by singer-guitarist Billy Joe Armstrong, the group opened with their 2004 single 'American Idiot' — its lyrics now tweaked to oppose the MAGA agenda. The band played on the same stage that had been occupied hours before by Armstrong's son, Jakob, who sings and plays guitar for the band Ultra Q. Other highlights of the day included Public Enemy, Sublime, Bay Area rapper E-40 and a parade of chefs, musicians and athletes on the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage, including country star Trisha Yearwood, tennis star Serena Williams, baseball player Evan Longoria and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. The festival continues Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are still available.

Bobby Flay, Serena Williams and Green Day headline BottleRock Napa Valley 2025 culinary stage

Culinary heavyweights like TV food competition master Bobby Flay, 'Top Chef' host Kristen Kish, tennis legend Serena Williams and actress/singer Kate Hudson are among the stars set to appear at the BottleRock Napa Valley culinary stage. Known for bringing together celebrity chefs, musicians and sports figures, the 2025 Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage also plans to present festival performers including Green Day drummer Tré Cool as well as musicians Noah Kahan and Benson Boone throughout the Memorial Day weekend event from May 23-25. 'We've got a great cross section of talented chefs, musicians, world-class athletes, celebrities and engaging personalities ready to literally and figuratively mix it up,' said Dave Graham, partner at BottleRock Napa Valley, in a statement. 'Fans will surely experience some fun, crazy moments.' Well-known chefs like Andrew Zimmern, Antoni Porowski and Marcus Samuelsson, alongside celebrities such as comedian and 'The Righteous Gemstones' star Adam Devine, also top the bill. They'll share the stage with musicians like Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, R&B singer Bobby Brown, and rappers Chuck D, Flavor Flav and E-40. Other notable celebrities set to appear include San Francisco Niners George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk, and former San Francisco Giants players Evan Longoria and George Kontos. While BottleRock Culinary Stage veteran José Andrés, who launched the new cooking competition show "Yes Chef!" with Martha Stewart earlier this year, isn't on the list, other returning culinary stars include Brooke Williamson, Masaharu Morimoto, Trisha Yearwood, and Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, among others. Emmy Award-winning TV personality and KCBS 'Foodie Chap' Liam Mayclem will once again host each food demonstration, with music provided by Bay Area DJ Umami. BottleRock Napa Valley, which takes over the Napa Valley Expo, again promises to deliver a unique fusion of food, music and celebrity in the heart of downtown Napa. Headlined by Green Day, Justin Timberlake and Kahan, the three-day event will feature more than 75 musical acts spanning rock, pop, electronica and hip-hop. In addition to the headliners, BottleRock's musical stages will showcase an eclectic mix of artists, including Kaskade, Ice Cube, Rebelution, Sublime, Khruangbin, Public Enemy, Flo Rida and more. Single-day ticket prices start at $233 for general admission, $598 for VIP access and $864 for the exclusive VIP Viewing Suite.
