Suburban brewery introduces new shot: Malört with a Baja Blast twist
LOMBARD, Ill. (WGN) — Baja Blast enthusiast, there's a new shot to try in Chicago's western suburbs — if you dare!
In a post shared to social media, Noon Whistle Brewing in Lombard debuted what they're calling 'one of the best shots we've ever poured: Windy City Blast.' The shot infuses the citrus-lime Baja Blast with Malört for a one-of-a-kind taste.
The folks behind the Lombard brewpub say the concoction works, creating what they described as 'a surprisingly balanced, oddly refreshing, dangerously sippable little beast of a shot.'

'It's chaos and chemistry in a glass,' Noon Whistle Brewing added.
The shot is only available at the brewpub's Lombard location and costs $5.
It's not the first time the suburban brewpub has caused a stir with its creative take on infused Malört shots. Last year, at the height of cicada-geddon, the Noon Whistle served up cicada-infused Malört. The Illinois Liquor Control Commission issued the suburban Chicago brewpub a citation over the 'once in a lifetime' shot, however.
