Download CrossOver for macOS and Linux

The main attraction of CrossOver goes beyond its capability to execute Windows applications, according to users. The application operates in such a way that users feel like they never disconnected from their Mac or Linux environments. You're not creating virtual machines. There's no need for a computer reboot when you require a specific app through this software. The software enables you to maintain your position on your macOS or Linux desktop while gaining access to programs that were previously unavailable to you. Few professionals working across diverse environments will find this significant benefit particularly helpful. Your primary computer operates with Mac, but you require an accounting software that functions exclusively on Windows. If you switched to Linux, then your preferred design application does not provide support for your new operating system. The design of CrossOver allows users to avoid making sacrifices with their software choices. You can experience dual functionality since CrossOver operates between macOS and Linux desktops through a single interface. The several years of development have made the platform solid, so it remains resistant to breakage. About 75% of standard applications Americans wish to operate on have undergone testing, and developers have simplified the installation process with basic click commands. Simplicity stands out as the key distinguishing fact of this particular product. For decades, Wine demonstrated complete power while maintaining requirements that demand technical abilities. The sophisticated, complex functions of the program remain hidden behind an elegant user interface provided by CrossOver. The system functions best without needing to understand how everything operates within the program code. The application selection process is simple since you just need to choose the desired app to install, then watch CrossOver execute all operations automatically. Softness in user experience activates two significant benefits: first, it reduces the amount of time required to complete actions, and secondly, it conserves precious energy for other tasks. The process requires no debugging activities or searches on online forums. Moving forward with your work process just requires you to launch your selected software. Managers who work with productivity tools combined with older software or games without native system compatibility will experience a total shift in their work process because of this access method. The software removes the ongoing platform battle between different operating systems. It reduces friction. Open-source foundations enable this platform, while the provider delivers support through regular updates along with technical assistance that users need. The stable, practical functionality of CrossOver provides an excellent program solution for developers and gamers and business owners, and strictly functional users who require particular software without damaging their system operations.

Mackinaw Winery hosts wine and beer tasting festival including ‘Beanie Babies' of beer

MACKINAW, Ill. (WMBD) — People in Mackinaw got to hear live music while trying alcoholic drinks from around the world. The Mackinaw Valley Vineyard & Winery hosted their 18th annual International Music, Wine, and Craft Beer Festival on Saturday and Sunday. The festival draws in a big crowd each year to get a taste of the globe. 'Festivals like this are fun because you can get tickets and sample things and so you kind of know more,' said Diane Hahn, general manager and co-owner. 'You're educated more as a consumer about what you like, what you don't like, and maybe why.' 2nd Annual Tips for Taps Event: A Perfect Mix of Classic Cars, Motorcycles, and Dogs More than 50 wines and 50 craft beers were available for people to try. The beers were primarily domestically brewed, but the wines were more international. With this, a very popular beer right now, Hahn said, is Yuengling, the country's oldest brewery, which just this year made its product available in the state. Hahn called it the 'Beanie Babies of Beer.' Saturday's music included Will Spicher, Turas Irish and Stereotypical, with Sunday capping off with Tad Johson and The Flying Dorito Brothers. Food, Wine & Fête is bringing Caribbean culture to Virginia Key this weekend

Get a taste of the Caribbean without leaving South Florida at the annual (and all-inclusive!) Food, Wine & Fête festival, which returns to Miami's Historic Virginia Key Beach Park this Saturday, May 17. The culinary and cultural extravaganza will celebrate the feel and flavors of the islands, with signature dishes and cooking demonstrations from renowned Caribbean chefs and culinary creatives, as well as Soca music, rum-splashed cocktails and good vibes aplenty. Among this year's featured tastemakers are Emmy Award-winning chef Simeon Hall, Jr., Troy Tingling, Kimesha Chong, Myriam Charles, Paul Griffith and Christian Barruos-Brens. From 5pm to 11pm on Saturday, attendees can feast their way down "Foodie Avenue", lined with local vendors offering authentic Caribbean specialties; sip and savor handcrafted cocktails and fine Caribbean spirits from the fest's spirits partners and signature bars; and potentially take home exclusive getaways to your favorite Caribbean islands from the event's partnering tourism boards. The festivities will cap off with a one-of-a-kind drone show, powered by LunaLite Drone Show Technologies, for an epic and illuminating finale. General admission tickets will get you all of the above but if you really want to splash out, you can opt for a VIP experience which will include a live chef sampling and tasting from South Florida restaurateurs, a private bar, a Prosecco pop-up with free-flowing bubbly, a grazing table of tasty Caribbean bites, premium cigars and swag like flip-flops, fedoras and a signature branded Food, Wine & Fete goblet. "Vanessa James and Marcos Rodriguez envisioned their beloved Food, Wine, and Fete experience in 2018 with a heartfelt mission to honor their Caribbean roots and showcase the immense talent of the vibrant diaspora," reads the event's website. "Infused with a deep love for carnival, Soca music, the rich tapestry of the islands and its flavorful cuisine, Food, Wine, and Fete was born—a celebration of all things uniquely Caribbean."

Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine to seek presidency, chides West over rights

Wine criticised Western governments for not denouncing what he said were escalating human rights violations, including abductions, illegal detention and torture of his supporters and officials. Wine did not single out any country for criticism. "Some leaders in the West are complicit in our suffering. They are here to crack their [business] deals and they don't care about human rights," he said. "If they were standing for the values that they profess, then they would be castigating all these gross human rights violations." Uganda is considered by the West as an ally in the fight against jihadists and has deployed troops in Somalia. Uganda's justice minister said this week that Eddie Mutwe, an activist in Wine's National Unity Platform (NUP) party, who also doubles as his personal body guard, appeared to have been tortured while in captivity. Museveni's son and head of the military, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, said he had kept him in his basement and that he was using him as a punching bag. After being missing for a week Mutwe was on Monday produced in court, charged with robbery and remanded. Wine said Mutwe told him he had been electrocuted, waterboarded and beaten. Police spokesperson Rusoke Kituma did not respond to a Reuters call for comment on the allegations. Reuters contacted a spokesperson for Uganda's defence forces seeking comment from Kainerugaba. He did not respond.
