Irish EuroMillions player had 'delayed reaction' to life-changing win
A lucky player who scooped an eye-watering sum of money in a EuroMillions draw has revealed they initially couldn't believe they won.
The family, from Co Cork, have taken part in the draws for years in a syndicate but were left stunned when they discovered their new numbers had finally been drawn.

Recalling how they discovered their huge scoop, one family member said they checked their ticket the day after the draw.
They explained: 'One by one, the numbers started to match, and I just couldn't believe it.
'I was in complete shock. While I've dreamt about the excitement of winning for so long, I carried on my day like normal – it was certainly a delayed reaction when I think back!' One member of the clan travelled to Lottery HQ to collect their cheque at the famous Winners Room Pic: Lotto
Another family member, who travelled to Lotto HQ in Dublin to collect their cheque at the famous Winners Room, said they had been sceptical of the Lotto in the past.
They said: 'We're truly a mix of hopefuls and sceptics. The family syndicate has been running for years, and I'd confidently say we're regular players who've held out for a big win like this!'
Following their win, the family plans to use the cash to fund a trip around Ireland and Europe, while another has their eyes set on installing solar panels at their home.
It comes as the National Lottery has revealed this month Irish players have the chance to bag an extra €250,000 on EuroMillions games as part of a special Ireland-only raffle.
The prizes are up for grabs across every draw this month, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Usually, every draw produces 10 winners of the Ireland-only prize of €5,000.
Meanwhile, last week, a Dublin player scooped a cool €31,778 after entering online, with over 53,000 players winning prizes in the Lotto & Lotto Plus draws.
