Jet2 announces new winter sun holidays from Bristol Airport for 2026

THE Airline Jet2 have launched their biggest Winter Sun programme from Bristol Airport, with more than 270,000 seats now on sale for the 2026/2027 season. The Winter Sun programme is a set of flights and package holidays aimed at people who want to travel to warmer places during the colder months in the UK. It includes 13 destinations across the Canary Islands, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Turkey, Cyprus, and Morocco. The airline and tour operator say the programme was planned in response to strong demand from people looking to book ahead for winter holidays. Destinations on offer include Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Malaga, Alicante, Palma, Faro, Madeira, Antalya, Paphos, Malta, and Agadir. One change this year is an extra flight to Madeira, with services now running twice a week instead of once. More updates about Jet2's winter plans, including ski and Iceland trips, will be announced soon. Steve Heapy, CEO of and Jet2holidays, said: 'We are seeing continued demand from customers wanting to escape the long British winter, so we have stepped in and put our Winter 26/27 programme on sale from Bristol Airport. Jet2 has announced the launch of a massively expanded Winter Sun programme from Bournemouth Airport, with a new winter route and extra capacity on offer. In their second winter of operations from Bournemouth Airport, the leading leisure airline and UK's largest tour operator have put a choice of 11 winter sun destinations on sale for Winter 26/27, including a brand-new winter route to Malaga. The addition of the new route means customers in the region can access the Spanish city for the first time next winter with and Jet2holidays. In all, hundreds of thousands of seats are on sale across winter sun destinations in the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura), Mainland Spain (Alicante and Malaga), Portugal (Faro and Madeira), Turkey (Antalya), Majorca (Palma) and Morocco (Agadir) and during peak periods, the airline and tour operator will operate over 20 weekly outbound flights. As demand from holidaymakers looking to escape the long British winter drives yet another year of growth, and Jet2holidays have put over 110,000 seats on sale for next winter. This represents a capacity increase of more than 34% when compared to Winter 25/26. The release of the programme today comes in response to demand from holidaymakers looking to book ahead and enjoy some winter sunshine. It also makes and Jet2holidays the first airline and major tour operator to go on sale with Winter 26/27, giving customers and independent travel agents the opportunity to book their place in the sun for next winter early. According to Glasgow World, the new destinations include cities in Spain, Italy, and the US. Responding to the rising demand for winter sports combined with city breaks, Jet2CityBreaks has launched packages from Glasgow Airport to Geneva for Winter 2025/26. Global Airlines is introducing a service from Glasgow Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. The inaugural flight is set to take off on Thursday, May 15, with the return leg landing in Glasgow on Monday, May 19. Jet2 is expanding its Winter Sun programme from Glasgow Airport, adding more flights to Malaga in November 2025 and weekend flights over Christmas and New Year. In response to strong demand for its Christmas Markets programme, Jet2 is adding more flights to Budapest from November 21 to December 22, 2025, extending the season to the Hungarian capital. Extra Monday and Friday services will be available during this period from Glasgow Airport. Passengers can fly to Antalya from Glasgow Airport with easyJet, with flights taking off on June 4, 2025, and operating every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the summer. Jet2 has announced direct flights from Glasgow to Rome as part of its Winter City Breaks programme in 2025. Flights to the Catalan city of Reus, known for its beautiful architecture and rich history, will launch on June 2, 2025, from Glasgow Airport and will operate every Monday and Friday by easyJet. Ryanair has announced that its seventh route from Glasgow Airport will be to Malta from April 1, 2025, with a twice-weekly service on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Jet2 will operate two weekly services (Wednesday and Sunday) to Reykjavik from October 8 to October 26, 2025, with flights timed for the October break. Eight new and expanded flight routes have been unveiled as part of a major expansion of the winter 25/26 schedule from Newcastle International Airport. Jet2 will offer more flights to both Winter Sun and Ski destinations, including a brand-new ski route to Chambery, giving travellers even more choice and flexibility next winter. Jet2 has revealed three brand-new routes as part of a major winter expansion across nine UK airport bases. and Jet2holidays have announced a significant expansion of its winter 2025 and 2026 programme across nine UK bases. Jet2, which flies from Birmingham, has added 96,000 additional seats from November 2025 to March 2026. It will introduce a service from Bristol to Gdansk and Berlin, plus an exclusive ski route from Newcastle International to Chambery. An additional 8,500 seats have gone on sale from six UK airport bases – Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International.
