FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Fond du Lac County District Attorney's Office announced on Monday, June 2 that Jeremy Stoll has been sentenced to nine years in prison and an additional 15 years of extended supervision in connection with the fentanyl overdose death of a man. What we know A news release said the sentence stemmed from Stoll's conviction for first-degree reckless homicide from the June 2022, overdose death of a man in the Town of Lamartine. The shooting happened behind a gas station at 60th and Bradley. Investigators at the scene recovered a single 9mm casing near the victim's body. MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Chrissy Jackson on Friday, April 11 to 16 years in prison plus an additional nine years of extended supervision in connection with the fatal shooting of a man behind a gas station at 60th and Bradley in July 2024. What we know According to the criminal complaint, Milwaukee police were dispatched to a gas station at 60th and Bradley late on Monday, July 8, 2024 for a shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a victim, later identified as Christopher Davis, on the pavement behind the station. Despite life-saving measures, Davis was pronounced deceased the next morning. Investigators at the scene recovered a single 9mm casing near Davis' body. A detective reviewed surveillance video from the gas station. The complaint says around 11:47 p.m. Monday, a red SUV pulled into the rear of the gas station and parked. A woman got out of the driver's seat of the SUV. A couple of minutes later, the video shows Davis walk into the frame. The woman briefly returns to the SUV -- and then back to Davis. At that point, "the video depicts Davis lurch backwards and his white hat falls off, as if he was punched or swung at by the female subject," the complaint says. Immediately after that, the woman steps back from David "and her arm is raised, and a muzzle flash can be seen," the complaint says. Davis falls out of view in the video and ends up on the ground. The woman then gets back into the SUV and drives away. She was also "wearing the same clothing that she was wearing when she shot Davis," the complaint says. When investigators attempted to find out who the woman was in the video, they ran the plates on the SUV. They went to the Milwaukee residence tied to the SUV. When police knocked on the door at the apartment, the defendant answered the door -- and was placed in custody. A detective who viewed the surveillance video at the gas station was able to identify the defendant as the person in that video. During that search, the complaint says investigators "located a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun in what appeared to be a child's room." The preliminary examination of the casing recovered at the crime scene was later determined to be "fired from the 9mm handgun recovered in the defendant's residence," the complaint says. The Brief A Franklin man is now charged in connection with a collision and rollover crash in Greendale. The accused, Tyler Ewing, had been fleeing from police when his SUV collided with another car on Loomis Road, the criminal complaint says. Court filings indicate Ewing was traveling more than 100 mph ahead of the crash. GREENDALE, Wis. - A 28-year-old Franklin man is accused of fleeing police and causing a crash that injured another driver in the Village of Greendale. The accused is Tyler Ewing – and he faces the following criminal counts: Vehicle operator flee/elude officer causing damage to property First-degree recklessly endangering safety (three counts) According to the criminal complaint, a Greendale police officer was on patrol on Friday evening, March 28 when he spotted a white SUV traveling south on S. 76th Street near Edgehill Road. The vehicle was "significantly exceeding the clearly posted 40 mph speed limit," the complaint says. The officer put a radar on the SUV which showed the vehicle's speed was 68 mph. When the officer did a U-turn to conduct a traffic stop, the complaint says the driver of the SUV "rapidly accelerated." The driver in the SUV "continued to flee, weaving through traffic and utilizing the emergency lane to pass other vehicles," the complaint says. The vehicle eventually turned onto Loomis Road, "disregarded a red light at College Avenue at an estimated speed of 100 mph," and appeared to be preparing to turn onto Ramsey Avenue. Instead, the complaint says the driver continued on Loomis and collided with another vehicle. That second vehicle ended up in a ditch and the striking vehicle ended up hitting a light pole in the median before rolling over. An officer approached the driver of the SUV, the defendant, who got out through the passenger door and attempted to walk over the median on Loomis. The defendant stopped for the officer. During a search of Ewing, the "defendant was told that he could have killed someone in the other vehicle, and he stated, 'I don't (expletive) care,'" the complaint says. The driver of the vehicle that ended up in the ditch suffered minor injuries. What's next Ewing made his initial appearance in Milwaukee County court on Tuesday, April 1. The accused is Patrick Riley Jr. – and he faces a single criminal count of first-degree reckless homicide. What we know According to the criminal complaint, Milwaukee police were dispatched on the evening of Tuesday, March 4 to investigate a stabbing near 18th and Hopkins. When they arrived on the scene, officers found a stabbing victim inside a residence. The 35-year-old victim was deceased. Police spoke with a person at the residence who said the victim and his uncle got into a fight. The person pointed to the defendant, who was standing outside the home. Riley Jr. was arrested. Riley Jr. said he "blanked out," picked up a folding knife that was on the table and "stuck" his nephew one time, the complaint says. The defendant said he then walked to a neighbor and asked her to call 911 and then call his sister. What's next Riley Jr. made his initial appearance in Milwaukee County court on Friday, March 7. The judge hearing the case ordered a competency examination for Riley Jr. – and cash bond was set at $150,000.
