33rd annual Help for the Homeless hygiene runs now through March
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WWEUX) – A Wisconsin radio network is partnering with area homeless and crisis agencies for the 33rd annual Help for the Homeless hygiene drive. You can donate items like toothpaste, diapers, laundry soap, and more to help meet a growing need within the community.
Hygiene and cleaning products are expensive and many crisis agencies do not have the budget to provide them. For families using programs like Wisconsin Foodshare Benefits, it can only be used to buy food.
This year the community table is partnering with the Family Radio Network to help those in need. Community Table Executive Director, TJ Atkins, explains, 'It really gives them some dignity and integrity that they can have those items. You think about how you start your day… you put your deodorant on… you brush your teeth… these are things that help them start their day off and so to the provider that is just really helpful.'
The Hygiene Drive runs through March 16th. You can drop off donations at Festival Foods, Walgreens, and other participating locations.
