Neenah officers rescue ducklings trapped in enclosed courtyard
NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – This morning, something very special happened at Marathon Flats 55 Plus Community. A group of officers came to the rescue of a sweet mama duck and her little ones. But once the ducklings hatched, they found themselves stuck in the fully enclosed area with no way out. Noticing the little ones' plight, the officers sprang into action. They carefully helped the ducklings out, making sure they were safe and sound. Meanwhile, Mama Duck kept a close eye on everything, watching as her babies were set free outside the building. Amber Alert issued in Arkansas for missing pregnant Wisconsin teen
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — An Amber Alert has been issued in Arkansas for a missing pregnant Wisconsin teen who was last seen with an Arkansas man. The Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Police Department requested the activation of the Amber Alert in Arkansas on Thursday. Sophia Franklin, 16, was last seen Sunday night at her Beaver Dam, Wisconsin home. She is three months pregnant. Authorities say she may be traveling with Gary F. Day, 40, who is the father of her unborn child. Day was last seen at Franklin's home on Monday morning. The two are believed to be traveling in a 2014 black Buick LaCrosse with AR license plate BBR 20L. The Beaver Dam Police Department said Day may be utilizing multiple license plates. Amber Alert issued in Wisconsin involves vehicle with Arkansas tag In addition to the Arkansas license plate, Day may be using a license plate using Pennsylvania plate KGW 5186. Court records in Wisconsin show a warrant was filed for Day's arrest in Dodge County on Tuesday for two counts of child abduction and two counts of child enticement. The warrant was issued Monday, FOX6 in Milwaukee reported. There is a no-contact order for Day and Franklin. The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office said on Tuesday afternoon they have reason to believe that the two may be in the Austin area in Lonoke County. Sophia is a white female. She is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 186 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Day is a white male with blonde hair and green eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.
