‘We had a great 10 years': The Brasserie Bar & Bistro in Camillus to close

CAMILLUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A staple for Camillus' Township 5 will close its doors this July. The Brasserie Bar & Bistro has held a spot near Witty Wicks, the Movie Tavern, and many other businesses in the Camillus lifestyle center for about ten years. One owner of the restaurant, Michelle Roesch — who co-owns with her mother, Nora — told NewsChannel 9 that their lease is up in July, and they have decided not to renew. 'We had a great 10 years but it's just time to move forward. Our main concern right now is making sure our team is set up for their next steps in their careers and enjoying more lunches and dinners with the community we've created at The Brasserie,' explained Roesch. The mother-daughter duo also owns the popular rooftop bar in Tipperary Hill, Emerald Cocktail Kitchen. For many, the Brasserie has been known for its European-style foods, fun drinks, and swanky events. 'It's just time for my mom and I to venture out to new things and continue to grow emerald,' said Roesch. Although the lease is up at the end of July, Roesch does not yet have an exact closure date. Roesch said it depends on what tenant will replace them and how their team is feeling. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
