For a third year in a row, a car show in Edmonton raised money for kids with cancer in the name of Ben Stelter.
Cars for Ben was held Saturday at Wolfe Chevrolet in west Edmonton.
'The support from the car community has been incredible. We have a lot of Corvettes and Mustangs and supercars, some classics out here as well,' Ben's father, Mike Stelter, told CTV News Edmonton that morning.
Ben died at six years old from brain cancer in 2022.
The Ben Stelter Foundation started in his name, led by Mike, helps kids fighting cancer.
The annual car show fundraiser is close to the Stelter family's hearts, as Ben loved cars.
'Ben's favorite was a Corvette. My uncle had a Corvette, and him and Ben turned it into Lightning McQueen together, which was Ben's obviously favorite car to drive around in the city,' Mike said.
'My dad loved Corvettes, I like Corvettes, and Ben I think loved them more than both of us. It was just his favorite car.'
The car show consisted of live entertainment, a 50/50, silent auction, food trucks, and prizes.
'What the Ben Stelter Foundation is doing right now in our community is absolutely fantastic and we're very honored and privileged to be able to host this event today for Ben,' said Donna Zazulak, special initiatives director of Wolfe Automotive Group.
