City's half marathon returns for charity fundraiser

Runners across the West Midlands are being invited to take part in a 10k run for charity. Wolverhampton's half marathon will start at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday at 09:00 GMT and offers runners of all abilities "an incredible opportunity". Proceeds from this year's race will go towards local specialist care charity Compton Care. Organiser Matt Wood said: "The Wolverhampton 10k is an incredible opportunity for runners of all abilities to experience a fast, closed-road course in a fantastic setting. "We're excited to see everyone push their limits while supporting a great cause," he added. Sally Woods, from Compton Care, said the charity was grateful for all the runners involved. "Good luck to everyone taking part in the Wolves 10K," she said. "We're so grateful to everyone running so that we can continue to support as many people as possible."
