Mayo suffered defeat in the Connacht final last time out against Galway, who also play at 2pm against Tipperary.

Galway take on Tipperary in the Women's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship as both teams look to kick off their campaigns with a win. Galway won out last time the sides met in Tipperary, winning by a 2-9 to 0-7 score line. They also took victory in the Connacht final last time out, with a 0-16 to 1-4 win against Mayo, who are also in action today against Kerry. Tipperary lost out in the Munster Senior Championship in their last match by 0-11 to 3-13 against Cork.
