According to Statista, the Star Wars franchise has grossed more than £10 billion, proving just how many fans there are worldwide.

What are some of the upcoming Star Wars projects?
The recent Star Wars Celebration in Japan last month unveiled various new projects for fans to get excited about.
This included a new Disney project titled Star Wars: Starfighter, with Ryan Gosling set to star, releasing in 2027.
According to the Star Wars website, it will be 'set approximately five years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker', with Gosling set to play a brand-new character.

It is one of a number of film projects in development, which also include films by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, Taika Waititi and a new trilogy by Simon Kinberg.
The next Star Wars film due for release is The Mandalorian and Grogu in 2026.
The film is a follow-up to the popular three-series Disney+ show starring Pedro Pascal.
