Josh Berry Hit a Bird at 190 MPH While Racing at Talladega
It was a bad day for one particular bird in Talladega, Alabama as it found it self in the path of a NASCAR Cup Car. Josh Berry was running third in his Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 Ford during the Jack Links 500 at Talladega Motor Speedway when on lap 18 he hit and obliterated a bird while driving 190 MPH. For fans watching the driver on HBO MAX's driver cam saw the impact immediately.
Berry came to pit under the first caution for the pit entry crash involving Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch for fuel and bird gut removal, there was no sustained damage to Berry's Ford and the Ford driver continues to run at Talladega.
Berry won his first race and the Wood Brother's 101th earlier this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
