Robinson's Rescue celebrates 100,000 spay & neuter surgeries with event

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Robinson's Rescue is celebrating a monumental milestone—100,000 spay and neuter surgeries! According to a press release from Robinson's Rescue, Tuesday, February 25, marks World Spay Day, an annual event established in 1995 to raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation and prevent animal suffering. Fall in puppy love with our pet of the week Officials say this year, Robinson's Rescue is celebrating a monumental milestone of 100,000 spay and neuter surgeries! Robinson's Rescue was founded 16 years ago and became Louisiana's first nonprofit, high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter clinic, dedicated to ending the cycle of unwanted litters and unnecessary euthanasia. Community members are invited to honor this incredible achievement with a special celebration at the Andress Artist & Entrepreneur Center located at 717 Crockett St. on Tuesday. The event will run from 5:30 until 7 p.m. and yes, pets are welcome! Officials say they are also taking the celebration to the next level at our annual fundraising gala, Best in Sheaux, on March 15th. The event will shine a spotlight on the lifesaving mission while raising funds to continue providing affordable spay and neuter services. For more information, visit the website. This event is a chance for supporters, pet lovers, and advocates to come together, learn more about the impact of spay/neuter programs, and celebrate the progress Robinson's Rescue made toward a future where every pet has a loving home.
