‘Whiskey On You' singer Nate Smith to perform on opening day of NYS Fair
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You've waited long enough. Country star Nate Smith has been announced as Suburban Park's opening day concert.
Smith will kick off Central New York's most iconic 13-day event on Wednesday, August 20, at 8 p.m.
'I can't wait to get The Fair started with one of Country music's brightest stars in Nate Smith,' said Julie LaFave, Fair Director.
He is known for his songs, 'World on Fire,' 'Fix What You Didn't Break,' 'Wreckage,' and more.
'Smith, who was named the Academy of Country Music's New Male Artist of the Year, Billboard's Rookie of the Year, and Amazon's Breakthrough Country Artist in 2024, has become one of music's most widely searched artists with over 2.2 billion career streams to date,' said the Fair.
In total, the Fair's 2025 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park.
