Lowell firefighter charged with child porn, allegedly paid minors for explicit videos via Snapchat
Silva was ordered to avoid the alleged victim and witnesses, have no unsupervised contact with minors, and stay off social media, Linton said in an email.
He is scheduled to return to court for a probable cause hearing on April 1, Linton said.
A criminal complaint filed in Wrentham District Court details the allegations against Silva, which involved at least one minor in Millis, a town in Norfolk County.

From at least August to December 2024, Silva allegedly used Snapchat,
a social messaging app, to communicate with multiple underage girls, according to court records.
Data from a Snapchat account linked to Silva contained over a hundred photos and videos of underage girls 'performing sexual acts,' court records show.
Within that time period, eight users reported Silva's account for inappropriate behavior and harassment, claiming he sent explicit images or asked for inappropriate content, court records show.
Additionally, data from a Venmo account linked to Silva revealed outgoing payments with descriptions referencing requests for explicit images, according to court records.
Police reports also include an girl's testimony that she sent explicit photos to Silva's Snapchat account in exchange for money, records show.
Silva's lawyer, along with the Lowell Fire Department and its union, did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday night.
The investigation is ongoing.
