WWE Raw: Logan Paul feels the ‘yeet,' as Jey Uso hits him with a superkick ahead of their title match at Smackdown
WWE Raw: Influencer-turned-professional wrestler Logan Paul walked out to a sold-out Greenville crowd at last night's Raw, and tried to rile up the audience for his upcoming title match with Jey Uso. As the crowd refused to hear him out and kept chanting 'yeet' in support of Jey, Paul became visibly frustrated, and to add to his problems, the former heavyweight champion Gunther came out to give his two cents. Logan started the segment by pointing out some 'facts,' for the crowd while addressing himself in the third person, emulating The Rock. 'Jey Uso has eyes on everyone in this company except for Logan Paul. My favourite fact of them all is that I have knocked out Jey 3 times, I have left him unconcious, flatlined and face-first on the floor. Guess what? sorry Greenville, I am going to do it again this Saturday.' Before Paul could finish his last sentence about becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, the 'Ring General' Gunther interrupted him. ALSO READ: 'Act like a champion': How Ric Flair talked John Cena into a $70K party binge Gunther had previously announced that he was going to face the winner of the match between Jey and Logan, and even though the crowd started mocking him for tapping out at Wrestlemania 41, Gunther proceeded to focus his attention on Paul. He said, 'You seem very confident that you can beat the guy, that beat me for my World Heavyweight Championship. So I need to assume that you believe, you're better than me.' Gunther acknowledged Paul's confidence and admitted that people in the company owe him more respect. He added that the WWE might just be another 'business' or means to an end for Paul, but it is extremely personal to him. 'It might be a business to you, but it is very personal to me, beating Jey Uso for the title is personal to me and if you take that away from me, I will take that as disrespect.' Gunther warned Paul of the consequences of winning his match on Smackdown and started walking away from the ring. As distance between the two superstars grew, Paul became more vocal but Gunther started smiling as Jey Uso made his way into the ring, Logan having no idea of hid presence. Cheers from the crowd grew as Logan turned right into a superkick by Jey. The current heavyweight champion stood over Logan and said, 'I am going to see you on Saturday, and Gunther, I am going to see you in Phoenix. The Monday Night Raw, where Gunther will face the winner of the match on Saturday will take place in Phoenix on June 9.

‘Act like a champion': How Ric Flair talked John Cena into a $70K party binge
WWE wrestler John Cena has gone through most of his illustrious career, carrying the words Hustle, Loyalty and Respect on his sleeve. He has been a beacon of discipline and hard work, and for the most part, the WWE champion has upheld the standards set by his on-screen character in his personal life as well. But apparently no one's perfect, and even Cena has slipped up in the face of peer pressure, and former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman had quite the story to tell about Cena. While talking to Chris Van Vliet, Coachman was listing out incredible feats he witnessed during his time in the WWE. Among names like Triple H and The Rock, Cena's name popped up, and Coachman talked about how the world champion was goaded into taking some questionable financial decisions. 'We used to go to Europe twice a year and do 10 different shows. John Cena had just become the world champion, and Ric Flair had got his hook into him. He told him, 'If you're going to be the world champion, you need to act like the world champion. You have to pay for all the drinks because you are making the most money.' ALSO READ | You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian: John Cena's heel turn explained Jonathan Coachman shared how John Cena partied for 9 days straight and paid for everyone's food and drinks the entire time. 'We finally get to the 9th night, and I asked him, 'How much money have you spent?' He said, 'Well, I just checked my bank account, and I have spent $70k in total. We are still drinking at the bar with Cena, and we have Monday Night Raw the next day. All of a sudden Dean Malinko walks up and whispers something in Cena's ear. He heard him, got up, and left for his hotel room. Malinko had just told him that he had a 60-minute Ironman match with Shawn Michaels the next day. Coachman added that you could smell the alcohol coming out from Cena's pores, but he still walked out there and had an incredible match. 'To his credit, John went out there, and people can go back and look at the match; both men had an amazing match for 60 straight minutes.' It definitely feels that this is the season of seeing a transformed John Cena. Throughout his career, Cena always competed as a 'babyface', and even after receiving a lot of flack from fans who called him things like 'vanilla', he continued his good guy persona until the last Elimination Chamber event, where he turned on Cody Rhodes and sided with The Rock. He then went on to create history at Wrestlemania 41, winning a record 17th world title, ironically beating the same man's record who tricked him into partying for straight 9 days. John Cena is currently on his farewell tour with the WWE and will be retiring as an in-ring performer at the end of the year.

WWE Backlash: John Cena and Randy Orton to face each other one last time for the Undisputed WWE championship
WWE Backlash: WWE is returning on May 11 with their first major event, Backlash, since Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas. Stories and narratives that were birthed during the biggest wrestling extravaganza of the year will finally reach their summit, as many wrestlers, including superstars like John Cena, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, Gunther and Becky Lynch, will be making an appearance. One of the most important events during WrestleMania was Paul Heyman pulling off a 'double Brutus', as he betrayed both CM Punk and Roman Reigns during their triple threat match with Seth Rollins. The 'wise man' has certainly chosen his next project in Rollins and has now set his sights on making the 'architect' the next World Heavyweight Champion. He challenged Jey during Raw on May 5, and the high-flying Samoan accepted the challenge. What followed was an all-out war between Jey and Rollins, as the latter tried to gain an advantage with the help of his new lackey Bron Breaker. Someone in the back room wrote this match to perfection, as Sami Zayn and CM Punk came out to even the odds, and Jey Uso ultimately walked out of the arena still holding on to his title. ALSO READ: Triple-H talks about convincing John Cena to turn 'heel': 'What if we pull the lever, that no one else could?' However, the main event of Backlash will feature even bigger names and a feud that started more than a decade ago. For the last time in their careers, Randy Orton and John Cena will face each other in the squared ring. It was expected that John was going to face Randy, who is probably his greatest adversary in the business, during his farewell tour. After securing the WWE title at WrestleMania, John announced to the world that he was going to ruin wrestling and was going to erase the legacy of all those who came before him. Naturally, Randy, who has a legacy, did not take to his words kindly and expressed his displeasure by planting John with his finisher in front of a sold-out arena. The two continued to have a verbal fight in the week that followed, where Randy unsuccessfully tried to convince John to drop this 'heel' act and go back to being a good guy. John, true to his new character, tried to get a cheap shot in, but Randy countered and rendered the champion unconscious in the middle of the ring. Interestingly, Backlash is being held in St Louis, which is Randy Orton's hometown. Over the years, the two have had legendary matches, including stipulations like TLC, Iron Man and I Quit. Both have cemented themselves as the top WWE superstars, not only from their generation but in the history of the entertainment company. According to reports, Backlash will be streamed live on Netflix at 4:30 am IST on May 11. Other important match-ups include Lyra Valkyria vs Becky Lynch (Women's Intercontinental Championship), Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight vs Damien Priest vs Drew McIntyre (US Championship), Dominik Mysterio vs Penta (Intercontinental Championship) and Gunther vs Pat McAfee.
