Orlando Pirates transfer news: Aziz Ki, Mayele, Nemtajela, Letlapa

Orlando Pirates are all-systems go ahead of the upcoming offseason window. It was a disastrous summer transfer period for the Buccaneers, who failed to land any talent albeit in talks with several stars, including Oswin Appollis and Fawaaz Basadien – it appears they do not want a repeat, having reportedly already signed five players, including Sihle Nduli and Sinoxolo Kwayiba. Orlando Pirates are said to miss out on target Aziz Ki . The Young Africans forward is reportedly days away from signing with Wydad Athletic. . According to reports, Pirates have signed Marumo Gallants star Masindi Nemtajela. Priority target Vuyo Letlapa has attracted an R20 million bid from the French side of OGC Nice. It remains unclear whether the Sea Robbers will match it. 'There are local teams which have shown interest and Pirates were believed to be in the forefront to sign him but apparently the French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice is the one leading now,' Soccer Laduma noted. 'They are very close to closing the deal. Remember, we spoke about European interest before. And just like they did with Elias Mokwana to Esperance de Tunis, they are including a 30% sell on clause to the next club agreement on the deal.' 'So, if Nice sells Vuyo then Sekhukhune United will get 30% from that deal. That's why they are looking at R20m for now.' Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Wydad Athletic make announcement on Rulani Mokwena

Wydad Athletic have confirmed the departure of Rulani Mokwena as head coach, weeks after the South African was placed on 'special leave' at the Moroccan giants. Mokwena did not take charge of Wydad's last three games as they ended third in the top flight Botola, though an official announcement he was leaving was reportedly delayed over details to be ironed out or disagreements over how to terminate the remainder of his three-year contract. Third place might not be considered such a poor a finish for a team that placed sixth in 2023-24 and has reportedly had financial troubles. However, results could not come consistently enough for Wydad's management as they seek a return to Champions League football for the 2017 and 2021-22 winners and 2018-19 and 2022-23 runners-up. Wydad, which ended the Botola on 54 points from 30 games, won their last three games as Amine Benhachem took over as caretaker coach.

Kaizer Chiefs news: Canadian firepower wanted; MTN8 Cup drama

Kaizer Chiefs have diverted their attention to Toronto FC striker Cassius Mialula, who is currently enjoying a stellar loan spell at Wydad Athletic, contributing nine goals and assists this season. Getting a deal over the line will take some doing amid Wydad Athletic and European interest. 'For Wydad it will depend on whether coach Rulani Mokwena is still there or if whoever takes over still needs him,' a source told SoccerLaduma. 'Then there is interest from Europe. So, Chiefs have to outbid all the other interest if they are to have a chance of signing him. But it's true they have shown interest in Mailula.' Another source confirmed Kaizer Chiefs' intent, mentioning that, 'Chiefs have enquired about him but you know he is a Toronto FC player, and they are the ones to make the final decision. 'Are they loaning him out again or can Chiefs buy him from them? But as for Chiefs being interested in him that's true and they are ready to fight for his signature.' Kaizer Chiefs' quest for MTN8 Cup qualification suffered a major blow following their defeat to Gallants last Saturday, keeping the Soweto giants level on points with eighth-placed Chippa United, who have a six-goal and two-game advantage. A tenth-minute Makabi Lilepo goal had the hosts on track for a crucial victory, which ultimately came undone by Daniel Msendami's go-ahead goal with twenty minutes left on the clock.
