Woman arrested in connection to reported hit-and-run in Wyoming County
LYNCO, WV (WVNS) — A woman was arrested after a reported hit-and-run that resulted in serious bodily injury in Wyoming County. Multiple people arrested after vape shop sting operation in Greenbrier County According to a press release on the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, Kayla Rodgers was arrested on Thursday, June 5, 2025 for multiple charges that included: Felony leaving the scene of an accident causing serious bodily injury No insurance Failure to render aid Obstructing Filing of a false emergency report The press release stated that members of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office responded to an ATV accident that was reported in Lynco on Thursday, May 29, 2025 that resulted in serious injuries for the driver of the ATV. According to the information in the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, once members of the sheriff's office arrived at the scene, they discovered that the accident was a hit-and-run. Members of law enforcement also found that the second car, that was registered to Rodgers and had reported severe front end damage matching that of an accident, was abandoned nearby. Warrants issued in relation to fight after local high school graduation The post stated that the driver of the car was identified as Rodgers, who reportedly left the accident scene without stopping to offer help or information to the other person involved. Rodgers also allegedly called the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office after the accident and stated that her car was stolen before the crash, which was found to be false. Rodgers was arrested on Thursday, June 5, 2025 and taken to Southern Regional Jail, where the post stated that she will get the chance to post bond given by a Magistrate Judge. Man arrested for sex crimes against a minor in Wyoming County
WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A man in Wyoming County was arrested for sex crimes against a minor. According to a criminal complaint, Raymond Mitchell Fairley was arrested for Sexual Assault of a Minor and the Use of Minors in Filming Sexually Explicit Conduct. Fentanyl, guns seized after search warrant in Raleigh County The criminal complaint stated that a member of the West Virginia State Police received a call at around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 from Wyoming County 911 about a reported sexual assault case that involved a minor younger than 12 years old. The member of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office met with the caller, who told them that Fairley reportedly performed sexual acts with a minor and that there was video. According to the criminal complaint, Fairley was seen watching the video by the caller around April 3, 2025 and that the caller recorded Fairley watching the video on his phone. Former War police chief and son die in car accident in McDowell County, arrest warrant issued The criminal complaint stated that information from the minor involved confirmed the allegations of sexual assault, a phone was taken to preserve evidence, and that the minor was advised to ask for a Domestic Violence Protection Order from the Wyoming County Magistrate. Man arrested for multiple charges in Wyoming County
HANOVER, WV (WVNS) — A man was arrested for multiple charges in Wyoming County after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of approximately 160 grams of suspected fentanyl. According to a press release on the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page, Aaron Beckett Browning was arrested for the charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, Fleeing on Foot, Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of Marijuana less than 15 grams. Raleigh County man sentenced for role in drug trafficking organization The press release stated that members of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office held a traffic stop on Friday, April 4, 2025 in the Hanover area of Wyoming County of a car driven by Browning, after the car was reportedly seen speeding. The car also reportedly had a broken windshield and missing driver's side mirror. Browning reportedly got out of the car before the law enforcement officer made contact, and after the member of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office spoke with Browning, they saw items bulging in his pockets. The member of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office attempted a Terry Frisk for safety concerns due to Browning reaching near his pockets, even after being told not to. Browning reportedly became defensive during the Terry Frisk, and backed away before running. After running, the press release stated that Browning jumped off of a riverbank to try and avoid law enforcement, and hit a rock, allowing the member of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office to arrest Browning. Fayette County man sentenced for federal gun crime Browning was searched, and a plastic Walmart bag with around 145 grams of suspected fentanyl and around $780 was discovered, as well as approximately 15 grams of fentanyl and a digital scale in another of Browning's pockets and $31 in his wallet. According to the press release, two baggies of suspected marijuana, totaling an estimated 8 grams, another set or digital scales, and two cell phones were found after the car was searched. A preliminary drug field test kit was used on the suspected controlled substances at the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office, and the substances showed positive results for fentanyl. Three people arrested after traffic stop in Wyoming County
WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — Multiple people were arrested after a traffic stop in Wyoming County. According to a press release on the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Jamie Owens and Rachel Gibson were arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver and Drug Conspiracy. Rose Robertson was also arrested and charged with being a Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm due to being a convicted felon of nighttime burglary. Arrest made in connection to Nimitz Dollar General break-in and fire The post stated that members of the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office held a traffic stop of a truck in the East Pineville area of Wyoming County on Friday, March 14, 2025. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Owens, who was driving the truck, did not have a valid drivers license. Members of law enforcement noticed Owens' hands shaking and that he looked nervous, and that Gibson and Robertson were passengers in the truck. The truck was searched after a K-9 indicated that drugs might be present. The Wyoming County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post stated that around 690 grams, or 1.52 pounds, of suspected methamphetamine was found in a hidden compartment, and two guns and around $690 were found in the truck.
