Child flown to hospital following Greene Co. crash
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A juvenile was flown to the hospital after a crash in Greene County Thursday evening. The Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred around 7 p.m. in the 4200 block of Hussey Road. Investigation revealed a 2021 Ford Escape was traveling eastbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and hit a child in the front yard. OSP dispatchers confirmed one child was flown to Dayton Children's with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Xenia Post at this time. One dead after motorcycle crash on U.S. 35 on Saturday night
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – One man is dead after a motorcycle crash on U.S. 35 late Saturday night. According to the Xenia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 11:39 p.m. on U.S. 35 westbound, by milepost 34. The initial investigation found that a 2007 Yamaha YZFR1 motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old from Xenia, was allegedly speeding. Officials said the driver lost control and crashed into the barrier wall. He was ejected from his cycle in the crash. Officials declared him dead on the scene. One person dead; two juveniles injured in Greene County crash
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A person is dead and two juveniles were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Greene County. According to a release from the Xenia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Fairground Road at Trebein Road. It was on Friday, Feb. 14 at approximately 10:30 p.m. The initial investigation found a 2004 Honda Civic was going east on Fairground Road. It didn't stop at a red light and crashed into a 2014 Chevrolet Spark heading south on Trebein Road. The Honda was driven by a juvenile from Beavercreek and had another juvenile passenger. The Chevy was driven by a 55-year-old from Xenia. Officials said both vehicles then crashed into multiple fixed objects by the intersection and overturned. The driver of the Chevy died at the scene, according to the Xenia Post. It said both people in the Honda were taken to a local hospital for serious injuries. The post said everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol/drugs aren't suspected. Xenia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is still actively investigating the crash.
