Women killed in fiery wrong-way crash on Highway 168 identified by Fresno coroner
Two women killed in a fiery wrong-way crash on Highway 168 in Fresno have been identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office.
They were 19-year-old Willianna Salas and 20-year-old Ximena Salas, both of Fresno. The coroner's office on Friday said their relationship to each other was unknown.
In Friday's update, authorities said Willianna Salas was driving the vehicle, which caught on fire after it launched off southbound Highway 168 onto McKinley Avenue around 2:30 a.m.
The CHP initially received two calls came about a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Highway 168, beginning near Fowler Avenue. Five minutes after the first call, a third call came in reporting a car that had flow off the highway and landed below on McKinley.
It was unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
