Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) teamed up with YoungBoy Never Broke Again for their long-rumored collaboration 'Alive.' West has been entrenched in various controversies over the last few months, as he's spewed anti-semitic and anti-LGBTQ rhetoric on his social media platforms. Ye's concert slated for South Korea on May 31 was cancelled due to 'recent controversies' surrounding the rapper. Yeezy also claimed that his controversial 'Heil Hitler' song was banned from DSPs after attempting to release the track earlier in May. There is always something discussion-worthy whenever Piers Morgan interviews someone in the Hip-Hop space. His recent conversation with Ye was no exception, though it was less about the content of the sit-down and more about how quickly things got negative. The Tuesday chat (May 6) started on the wrong foot when the 60-year-old journalist referred to the controversial artist, formerly known as Kanye West, as 'Ye West,' prompting him to say that he dropped the 'West' last name because it was his 'slave name.' Morgan attempted to push forward and check in on the Chicago producer's well-being; Ye replied, 'You see that view […] Judge me by the view' while sitting in front of a balcony overlooking the ocean off the Mallorca coast. The Uncensored host questioned his implied good vibes in conjunction with his recent rants on X discussing the music industry stifling him, Playboi Carti, Kendrick Lamar, his troubled relationship with his kids, and Kim Kardashian, among countless other topics. 'I already disagree,' the Vultures artist said after cutting Morgan off. 'It's not in contrast. It's so many people and artists that are championing the idea of expressing who they really are and having to go through the war of being attacked by the banks and to still be here with this view, that's the win.' Ye and Piers Morgan's combative exchange hit another level when the media personality mistakenly said the father of four had 32 million X followers, rather than the correct number that exceeds 33.3 million. 'You're not gonna take inches off my d**k, bro,' the Chicago native said. 'I'm a gift, bro. Why do all you people in media act like you haven't played my songs at your weddings, or graduations or at funerals or when your child was born? You take someone like that's living, like a [John] Lennon or a Michael Jackson. That nuance right there is idiotic. It just shows the hate that you put out for people that put out love. Standing next to West, Censori, 30, dropped her black feather coat in front of photographers to reveal a completely sheer mini-dress. West was nominated for Best Rap Song at this year's Grammys for his 2024 song 'Carnival'. He lost to Kendrick Lamar, who also won Song of the Year and Record of the Year for his Drake diss track 'Not Like Us.' Earlier this week, it was reported that Censori would not face legal action for the look that sparked countless headlines and consternation across social media, as some accused West of 'exploiting' his younger wife. West appeared to justify his actions on Tuesday (4 February), as he shared a screenshot of search terms, with five million-plus searches for his wife's name, matching the search for 'Grammy winners 2025'. 'The most Googled person on Earth wearing YZY women's,' he wrote in a second Story, along with a clip of Censori stretching in a dark sheer bodysuit. Another clip showed Censori walking in front of paparazzi with the caption: 'Most Googled person on the planet.' TMZ also obtained video of West, who caused uproar in 2022 when he began making a series of antisemitic comments in public, gloating to photographers while heading into a Los Angeles recording studio with Censori on Tuesday. 'Ask me how it was to beat the Grammys,' he told photographers. After one obliged, he replied: 'We beat the Grammys,' as Censori laughed before they entered the building. The couple's red carpet stunt has sparked a huge backlash online, with photographer Chiara Glionna commenting on his post about Instagram searches: 'It's an easy win when a man puts a naked woman on a screen.' In a comment to Tyla magazine, she accused West of 'reducing [Censori] to an ornament… the heart of all of this is not an offence to the male ego, but the fight for a fundamental right: respect,' she said. 'And I will never stop defending it.' According to TMZ, LAPD sources confirmed that there will be no legal fallout from the couple's antics, as the Grammy Awards is a private event and no one from the show contacted police to make a complaint. Their public appearances are often a spectacle, serving as prime paparazzi fodder and consistently delivering scandalous sartorial statements — especially from the 30-year-old Australian model. This past weekend, Censori shocked Grammys viewers when she dropped a black fur overcoat on the red carpet to reveal her naked body covered by only an ultra sheer mini dress designed by her husband. Not for the first time, online commentators expressed their concern for the controversial rapper's wife, who is known for being paraded in public in barely-there outfits. Representatives for West have not responded to The Independent 's requests for comment. On Tuesday (February 2), reports suggested that there will be no legal fallout from the Grammys stunt as the annual awards ceremony is a private event and no one from the show contacted police to make a complaint. In the wake of the backlash, West defended the move online in a string of Instagram Stories sharing screenshots of Google search trends, with over five million searches for his Censori's name. One person wrote: 'Your posts are disturbing.' February 2024 — Milan Fashion Week West and Censori made an impromptu appearance at Marni's Fall/Winter 2024 show during Milan Fashion Week last year. The two were photographed sitting in the front row with Censori sporting nothing but a square-neck, black leather bodysuit adorned with two large cutouts on each side and a cheeky thong in the back. Next to her, West wore an all-black outfit consisting of a hooded rain jacket and Nike biker gloves. Censori's facial expression remained solemn as the cameras flashed in front of her. 'She doesn't look happy,' one person wrote on X, while another said: 'Kanye is properly covered. They're [Censori] doing their master's wish.' Earlier in February, Censori and West were spotted out walking through the rain in Los Angeles. Though Censori's top half was covered considerably more than it'd been in the past, fans were dumbfounded by the fact that she wasn't wearing proper shoes. 'I'm confused why this lady is wearing no shoes when the majority of the public can't be allowed to enter with no shoes,' one person said next to a TikTok video of the duo at Disneyland. 'Poor this, and he is always fully dressed. Someone save this woman,' a third commented. April 2023 — Fear of God fashion show In April 2023, Censori was photographed wearing what looked like one long shimmery, nude pantyhose that stretched from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. The full-body garment wrapped around her eyes, nose, and mouth, and didn't include any finger holes. 'She looks scared,' one fan said next to a video of her walking next to West on TikTok, while another asked: 'What's the message with this? What were they trying to say?' June 2023 — Church outing Two years ago, Censori joined West for a Sunday church service in Los Angeles and donned an ensemble that was deemed 'absurd' by many online. In paparazzi photos published by Page Six, Censori was seen sporting a black dress that had a thick circular tube running from the tops of her arms to the top of her mouth. Her head and her arms were covered in sheer black fabric. Meanwhile, West looked as if he were gearing up for a football game later that day dressed in long leggings and no shoes as well as shoulder and chest pads underneath a casual Polizei T-shirt. 'I thought this was a dog bed,' one person on X said, referencing Censori's odd sculptured neckline. A second wrote: 'So we're only going to talk about HER absurd outfit? Because I see two.'
