Yes, I am one of *those* people who treats my car (a Chevrolet, to be exact) like it's my child. It gets the best upgrades, the most expensive washes and waxes and I am determined to be one of the few people who make it into the 500,000-mileage club (this is, indeed, a club). Whether you're like me or have a more 'normal' attitude when it comes to your vehicle, it's never a bad idea to stock up on the handy essentials you'll need to keep your car looking, smelling and running at its best —especially with summer road trip season upon us. As such, I've rounded up the 20 best car accessories to start getting your collection going. As somebody who has done quite a bit of driving in my lifetime, trust me when I say many of these will come in handy when you least expect it. Read on to see my selections. Want to know which buzzy products are *really* worth buying? Sign up for our shopping newsletter to uncover our favorite finds. Amazon Sure, most car washes automatically offer free vacuum services when you get a wash done, but sometimes you just don't have the time. You're going to need a car vacuum for those quick cleanups, and I'm personally a fan of this Shark Wandvac cordless handheld, which comes with a crevice tool for hard-to-reach spaces, and an upholstery tool that is specifically designed for cleaning fabric surfaces. It's lightweight, easy to use and the portable design means you can carry it everywhere. From $100; $93 at amazon Walmart Car spills are normal, but stains ain't so great. A good stain remover goes a long way, and this one from Chemical Guys has great ratings for its ability to remove the blemishes from fabric seats and carpets. 'I am so relieved that I didn't have to pay for a full detail service to get the final marks out and now know a product to recommend to family with toddlers and pets that takes the stress out of messes,' writes one happy customer, who adds, 'It worked super quickly, I bought it for overnight shipping and used it on the way to work, and it was dry before I walked in. Highly impressed with the product and the price is great, too.' This leads me to my next recommendation.… $12 at walmart $12; $10 at amazon Amazon Whether you have leather seats or accents, you'll want to keep it looking and feeling luxurious. For that, specifically, you're going to need a leather cleaner. I have found great success with this conditioner from Honey Leather, which is made with a silicone-, solvent- and toxin-free formula that restores and protects all types and colors of leather. Warning though, this conditioner gets kind of sticky, so you will need to let it air dry for a while before sitting in the seats. $20 at amazon Walmart You won't know how much you need a trunk organizer until you have one. This is the place where you can keep all of your cleaners, tools and smaller car accessories in easy-to-reach compartment, and it definitely comes in handy when it comes to keeping your trunk tidy. As one customer notes, 'The Gorilla Grip large capacity trunk organizer is exactly what I needed—no gimmicks, just a straightforward design that works. The multiple compartments make organizing easy, and the slip-resistant, water-resistant material ensures it stays put and stands up to spills or rough conditions.' In addition to the three main compartments, there are multiple flap and mesh pockets to hold smaller items. $35 at walmart $35 at amazon Amazon Hey, life gets busy, and sometimes you have to work from the car (or you may even prefer it, like I do). Believe me when I say that a wheel tray can make your life so much easier. This one, in particular, can be attached directly to your steering wheel, and has a designated space for your laptop (so no more balancing your computer on your lap!). Plus, there's an additional part that can hold your food and drinks, if need be. And if it's a really stressful day, you can remove everything and simply use it as a headrest. $39; $26 at amazon Amazon Blind spot mirrors are one of the best (and most affordable) investments you can make for your car. The concept of looking behind as you're driving (especially if you're on the highway) is quite scary, and can definitely be dangerous. Blind spot mirrors like this one take the risk out of that, as you can simply attach it to your regular car mirror and glance at that to get the full view. This pick has a frameless design to blend seamlessly with your mirror, comes with an outdoor-rated adhesive base to stay sticky and reflects your blind spot view three times larger to give you the big picture of what's going on behind you—literally. $13 at amazon Amazon If your vehicle doesn't come with built-in charging port equipped to match your phone, then you're going to need to buy one—as we all know, there's nothing worse than getting stuck with a dead battery when you're out and about. Luckily, there are plenty of affordable car chargers available on the market, including this one from Roadress which is compatible with most phones, and has ports for three different types of USB adapters. All you have to do is plug it into your car's lighter port. $29; $25 at amazon Amazon Yes, you need a trash can for your car. No, it should not be overflowing to the point where it spills out because that defeats the purpose. Now that we have that established, this fabric trash bin holds up to 2.5 gallons, has a removable leakproof liner and is made with waterproof material. It also comes equipped with an adjustable strap, so you can attach it to the headrest, center console, door or glove box. As one happy buyer writes, 'I bought this for my husband's truck, and we love it! We have three kids, so the inside of the truck is always collecting trash. This trash can looks good, is a decent size, is sturdy and functions well. It has helped so much with keeping the truck clean and minimizing the smell.' from $24 at amazon Amazon It's better to be safe than sorry, and if you've ever owned a car, just know you will be sorry if you don't have everything you need in case of potential emergencies. This emergency kit covers all the bases, as it comes with a tire inflator, a jumper cable and a tow strap. There's also under-the-radar accessories packed in that could end up being useful in extreme emergencies as well, such as a seatbelt cutter and a glass breaker. Oh, and did I mention there's a first aid kit, too? Keep this kit in your trunk and you won't regret it. $70 at amazon Walmart Is a wheel and tire cleaner absolutely pertinent? No. Is it important if you have a slight case of OCD and basically live on dirt-filled country roads like me? Why yes, it is. Your tires will literally be glowing as you drive, and that makes this well worth the $12 price tag, in my opinion. $15; $12 at amazon $12 at walmart Amazon Ever experienced getting into a sweltering car with burning hot seats, seatbelts and a wheel that burns your hands the second you touch it? Yeah, not fun…especially when you have somewhere you have to be ASAP. Want to know what eliminates that from happening? A car sunshade like this guy. Run to the checkout, don't walk. From $25; $13 at amazon Amazon Sometimes our fur babies can't resist giving us some love. Unfortunately it's not the best idea while you're driving, which is exactly where this net barrier comes in. It's available in multiple sizes and is said to work for every type of car. Plus, it doubles as a storage bag, so you can even pop some other accessories from this list in. Not a bad deal, if you ask me. from $12 at amazon Amazon The stickiness that gets left behind from drinks is icky and can be tough to clean the longer it's left there. Personally, I recommend spending a few bucks on a car coaster that you can easily remove and wash—especially from a brand that gives you the option of multiple fun colors like this one. $6 at amazon Amazon A car diffuser is another essential you won't realize you've been missing until you have it. Between dirt, trash and sweat when it's hot, cars have a way of smelling really funky really fast. This diffuser from Pura boasts a small, sleek design, and you can select from multiple scents depending on your mood. 'Goodbye air fresheners,' writes one 5-star Amazon reviewer, who adds, 'This is amazing! You can select scents; they last a long time and are easy to set up and use.' $35; $28 at amazon Amazon For starters, not having properly working headlights is grounds for getting pulled over (I have personal experience with this one). Aside from the annoyance of potentially having to pay a costly ticket, not having bright headlights makes driving at night ten times harder, and at this phase in my life, I'm completely over squinting. Get a headlight restoration kit for quick cleaning and improved clarity—in case of an emergency, you'll thank me later! $33; $27 at amazon Amazon If you can't already tell, I've been through it all in my car over the years. This, however, is what helped me to put together this comprehensive list of car essentials you didn't know you needed. . Two years ago, one of my windshield wipers broke during a heavy rainstorm while I was on a road trip. Getting the wipers replaced wasn't too bad cost-wise, but it doesn't hurt to save a few bucks by doing the job yourself. This brand offers tons of different blades for all different types of makes, models and years. For this list, I selected one for Honda's made between the years 2005 and 2022, as I know those are very popular, but you can browse through the brand's entire offering to find a match for your vehicle. $26; $24 at amazon Amazon Seats past the point where cleaning and detailing can save 'em? A car seat cover is the solution you need. I had to do this with my last car, and it made the seats look brand new. This car seat cover set is a little bit of a steeper investment, but well worth it considering the results. 'These seat covers fit like a glove…Definitely worth the money. My heated seats work with them also as that was a concern,' writes one buyer who made the splurge. $160; $150 at amazon Amazon Protect your car's floors from snow, salt, dirt and mud with these pet-and kid-proof rubber mats. They're durable, waterproof, easy to spot clean and equally easy to vacuum. Plus, they come in different colors, and the full set includes covers for both front seat floors, as well as the back seat. $35 at amazon Amazon Fewer gas stations are offering free compressed air nowadays, so I think it's worth it to bite the bullet on a tire inflator. This portable Airmoto is straight-to-the-point and easy to use, which is really all you can ask for. 'Love it, it works beautifully! It's easy, fast and, precise to add air to the tires of my car. It's also quiet, small and easy to store in [my] glove compartment,' notes one buyer, which has been my experience with this inflator as well. It's a bit of an investment, but it's much better than being stuck on the road with a flat. $89; $64 at amazon Amazon There is nothing worse than being in a position where you need your important car documents and can't find or remember where you put them. Save your future self the trouble and grab a car document holder to keep everything organized in one place—preferably one in a pretty color. from $8 at amazon I'm a Stay-at-Home Mom, and This Genius Scheduling Board Has Eased My Family's Anxiety PureWow's editors and writers have spent more than a decade shopping online, digging through sales and putting our home goods, beauty finds, wellness picks and more through the wringer—all to help you determine which are actually worth your hard-earned cash. Whether you're shopping for Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, the holidays or gifts for any other occasion, if the person on your list happens to be a pet parent, you *need* to check out West & Willow. The brand offers tons of personalized presents, like the best-selling pet portrait (from $77) and, my personal favorite, a crewneck sweatshirt (from $80) with the likeness of their furry friend embroidered on it. Below, find my full thoughts on them both—and why every dog mom and cat dad will love them, too. Want to know which buzzy products are *really* worth buying? Sign up for our shopping newsletter to uncover our favorite finds. Whether you're shopping for a pet portrait, mug, sweatshirt or any of West & Willow's other giftable offerings, you'll start out the process by choosing all of your preferences (such as colors, framing, etc.) and then upload a photo of the pet (or pets) to be included. After checking out, West & Willow artists will hand-illustrate a design to be approved by you via email and once you're happy with it, they'll get started creating your custom product. Original Photo by Natalie LaBarbera I've been obsessed with this sweatshirt from the second I took it out of the package—so much so that I've been wearing it multiple times a week since. The customized sweatshirt is Gildan brand with a cotton/polyester-blend fabric and is available in unisex sizes small to XXL, as well as six different colors. I chose the full color embroidery for mine (as you can see above), but if you (or your giftee) are more of a minimalist, you can also opt to do it in just white or black lines. Honestly, I was so surprised by how much it actually looked just like my pup, and I can see myself wearing it for years. So if you do decide to gift it to a pet parent you know (or grab one for yourself), rest assured that they'll get plenty of use out of it. From $80 at West & Willow Original Photo by Natalie LaBarbera As for the popular pet portrait, I've had mine displayed on my bookshelf for a while now, and it still makes me so happy every time I glance up at it. The design is so true to the photo I sent in, and I love the minimalist look of the name at the top. For these portraits, you can choose between six different backgrounds (I went with the soft white) and four different frames, or get yours without a frame to place it in one of your own. You can also select an 8" by 10", 12" by 16" or 18" by 24" size. Based on both of my experiences (and how much I've adored the products since receiving them), I can safely say pet parents are bound to love these custom gifts from West & Willow. No matter the occasion you're shopping for, they're thoughtful, personal and practical, too, so go ahead and get to ordering—perhaps after treating Fido to a little photo shoot to get the perfect snap. From $77 at West & Willow I Use This Lands' End Pet Carrier Every Single Weekend—and It's Less Than $30 Right Now PureWow's editors and writers have spent more than a decade shopping online, digging through sales and putting our home goods, beauty finds, wellness picks and more through the wringer—all to help you determine which are actually worth your hard-earned cash. I've Used a Bunch of Different Leashes with My Pup, But This Hands-Free, Lockable One from Maxbone Is *the Best*

Total: 98/100 Fellow pet parents will know just how hard it can be to find a dog leash that's just right. Some are too short, some are too long, some don't have enough functional features—if you're reading this, you likely know what I mean. Honestly, I'm not even sure how many different leash styles I've tried over the years at this point, but I think I might have *finally* found the perfect one. Maxbone's Go! with Ease dog leash ($55) truly has it all when it comes to function, from a hands-free design to a bunch of attachment options that make everything from daily walks to airport travel that much easier. Keep reading for all of my thoughts. Want to know which buzzy products are *really* worth buying? Sign up for our shopping newsletter to uncover our favorite finds. I've been using this leash for almost six months now, and have used it for airport travel, daily walks and exploring new areas with my dog. I've also machine-washed it a couple of times, but air-dried it to keep the material in the best condition. Original Photo by Natalie Labarbera When I decided to purchase the Maxbone Go! with Ease leash, I was looking for a design that would be easy to travel with (I usually fly a few times a year and do a couple of short roadtrips with my small dog), meaning it needed to be easy to manage while I was carrying other things, lightweight and, ideally, have some sort of storage option attached. After many hours of searching online, I decided this option was my best bet, and went ahead with splurging on both the Go! with Ease leash and the matching large pouch. Starting with the leash—as I mentioned above, I love that it's hands-free, so I can easily loop it over my shoulder and don't have to worry about dropping it. I tend to wear it the same way I would a crossbody bag, but it can also be worn around the waist, and both the top and bottom portions are adjustable, so you can customize how it fits and its length. Plus, I have extra peace of mind that my pup is secure because the attachment clasps can be locked by twisting the screw fastening over the hinge—which, honestly, is what really sold me on this style. The only slight downside (if I'm really picking) is that there isn't a handle or attachment for when I do want to hold the leash by hand, but it hasn't bothered me so far to just hold onto the fabric. Of note, a thicker version of the design is also available on Maxbone's website if you prefer a thicker width for your pup's leash. Original Photo by Natalie LaBarbera When it comes to personalizing the leash with attachments, you have a few different options. There's a waste bag dispenser (which is way cuter than the plastic options that seem to be everywhere, IMO), treat pouch and a larger pouch, which is the one I chose. I opted for the large size because I knew I was looking for something that would be able to fit my passport, but was surprised by just how much else I could fit in it, too. The large pouch can easily accommodate not just my passport, but my phone (an iPhone 16 pro), a small wallet, lip balm and a pocket-sized hand sanitizer, which is everything I really ever need to have on hand. Not to mention, there are three card slots inside, too, so I can easily leave my larger wallet at home when I'm headed out for a walk. No matter which pouch (or pouches!) you choose, they're all made from neoprene, which I've had no trouble washing, and all easily attach to the Go! with Ease leash. For the treat and larger pouches, there are velcro straps attached at the back so you can change their positions on the leash, while the waste bag dispenser attaches via a clasp to the metal hook. Here's the thing, there's no denying that this leash combo is a bit pricey, especially once you start adding on attachments, but I've found it to be so worth it. I mean, from the sturdy materials to the thoughtful details like adjustable straps and storage, it's one you'll be glad you splurged a bit on when you reach for it daily—especially when you have your hands full (literally). I Tested the $240 Perfume Worn By Princess Diana on Her Wedding Day
PureWow editors select every item that appears on this page, and some items may be gifted to us. Additionally, PureWow may earn compensation through affiliate links within the story. All prices are accurate upon date of publish. You can learn more about the affiliate process here. You can learn more about that process here. Yahoo Inc. may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. Read the original article on Purewow. It's been over 40 years since the wedding of the century—otherwise known as the moment that Princess Diana walked down the aisle at St. Paul's Cathedral to marry Prince Charles. The fairy tale didn't last, but the storied history of her signature scent did. According to Diana's wedding day makeup artist, Barbara Daly, the late Princess of Wales spritzed herself with Houbigant Paris, specifically their Quelques Fleurs eau de parfum ($240), ahead of saying 'I do.' And notably, she also accidentally spilled some of it on her iconic Elizabeth and David Emanuel dress. All these years later, Quelques Fleurs is still a signature scent in the Houbigant collection, which is why I decided to put the royally-approved fragrance to the test, for both a day at the office and night out. Here, how the floral scent fared in my non-royal life. Want to know which buzzy products are *really* worth buying? Sign up for our shopping newsletter to uncover our favorite finds. Houbigant is, in fact, the oldest perfume house in the world. Long before Diana, Marie Antoinette—en route to her execution—was said to reach for Houbigant, which opened its very first perfume shop on Rue de Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris in 1775. So did Queen Victoria, who gave the fragrance house the title of Perfumer to Her Majesty in 1838, a major royal honor. It was Diana's choice to wear the brand's signature scent, Quelques Fleurs, on her wedding day that helped secure Houbigant's status as a go-to for the royal Daly, who offered a behind the scenes peek at Diana's wedding day in Rosalind Coward's book, Diana: The Portrait, the bride was spritzing her wrists with Quelques Fleurs at Clarence House (the place where she got ready on July 29, 1981) and accidentally spilled it on her voluminous gown. The pair worked out a plan so that Diana could hide the stain: She placed her hand over the spot in order to make it seem like she was holding up her dress as she made her way down the aisle. (Instead the focus was on the creases in her dress, said to have been caused by the carriage ride.) The floral scent, which means 'some flowers,' features notes of tuberose, jasmine and rose. The top notes include bergamot, tarragon and lemon with rich base notes of honey, vanilla, sandalwood and oakmoss. I'm not always drawn to floral fragrances—over the years, the scents I've relied on (such as Jo Malone's Peony and Blush Suede Cologne) have included florals, but they tend to be tempered by citrus. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by Quelques Fleurs. I tried it for the first time on a day in the office, and I didn't want an overpowering scent in the workplace. That said, perhaps I was too conservative; When I mentioned to my boss that I was donning Quelques Fleurs on assignment, she had to lean in close to get a whiff. 'I didn't notice it,' she remarked. This feedback led me to adjust my application. After all, while Quelques Fleurs may feel overpowering in a small space like your bathroom, it blooms as it settles. (As fragrance experts might describe, it has a 'dry-down.') As far as the scent itself goes, I found it wearable with a vintage feel and I loved that, as it melds into your skin, the different flowers stand out. (The Lily of the Valley, for example, really seemed to pop at one point.) As my test drive continued, I found myself reaching for it often, perfect for Saturday night dinner with a friend or a glass of red wine on a chilly spring night. Did I feel like royalty when I wore the scent Diana made famous? Sorta! But I also felt like the everywoman she represented to so many. The fact that she splashed it on her wedding dress speaks to the fragrance's history and accessibility. This is a perfume that feels significant, but one that you don't have to be too precious about either. $240 at Neiman marcus The 20 Best Perfumes for Women, Vetted by Our Scent-Obsessed Editors

The 6 Best Diptyque Perfumes, Ranked by a Francophile
PureWow editors select every item that appears on this page, and some items may be gifted to us. Additionally, PureWow may earn compensation through affiliate links within the story. All prices are accurate upon date of publish. You can learn more about the affiliate process here. You can learn more about that process here. Yahoo Inc. may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. Read the original article on Purewow. When it comes to perfume, I have an obsession with roses. And that's how I was introduced to the iconic French perfumer, Diptyque. After searching and sniffing dozens of rose perfumes, the moment I caught a whiff of Eau Rose, I knew it was over. That was several years ago, and I've loved the brand since. In true French fashion, the scents are subtle—though don't mistake that for a lack of personality. Whether you want something floral and fruity or musky with a hint of tobacco, Diptyque delivers. Here, I've rounded up six of the brand's most popular scents, with thorough reviews, including my signature scent, Eau Rose ($240), plus Fleur de Peau ($240), Philosykos ($240), Orphéon and more. Want to know which buzzy products are *really* worth buying? Sign up for our shopping newsletter to uncover our favorite finds. Over the course of a month, I regularly wore six of Diptyque's most popular perfumes, taking into account factors like longevity, wearability, versatility and strength. I've also personally been wearing the brand for years—Eau Rose is my signature scent. Overall, the perfumes and eau de toilettes have good longevity. Each one lasted at least eight hours, but some will last up to 12. Below are my notes about each scent. Original photo by Marissa Wu I'm obsessed with rose perfume, and Eau Rose has been my signature scent for years. After trying tons of brands, from fellow French maker Officine de Buly to Jo Malone, as soon as I smelled Eau Rose, I knew it was the one. It's a fresh, bright floral that's a tad sweet—the top note is very green and the artichoke notes come through. It settles into the crisp, though soft rose notes, which Diptyque derives from Damask and Centifolia roses. The former has a citrus profile, while the latter is known for its green, honeyed notes. As the day wears on, the perfume settles into more of a sweet lychee scent. This fruit is my favorite, with a profile that reminds me of the elderflower in Saint Germain. Eau Rose bills itself as 'capricious and exuberant,' and I agree that it surprises you as it evolves on your skin. But, unlike, say, Tom Ford Rose Exposed, it's not mercurial or aggressive. Rather, it has a mischievous enthusiasm—an enigma. The tradeoff is that while I can get a solid eight to ten hours of wear, it definitely fades throughout the day, while Rose Exposed was still very much kicking—even after I got out of the shower. Eau de Parfum $240 Eau de Toilette (From $135) Original photo by Delia Curtis I typically avoid vanilla perfumes because many brands make them too syrupy. However, the first time I smelled Eau Duelle, I knew I was in trouble. The bourbon vanilla gives it a slight edge and deeper profile than the surface-level candy notes I'm used to. PureWow Assistant Editor Delia Curtis has this on their vanity and adds: 'Eau Duelle manages to be both light and deeply alluring. The woody cypriol and heady calamus add an earthiness to the fragrance. All the olfactory notes combine to create a sophisticated scent that feels timeless and versatile enough for daily wear.' The EDT had the shortest longevity on this list, as Curtis clocked it about four hours. Eau de Parfum ($240) Eau de Toilette (from $135) Original photo by Marissa Wu My first perfume memory was rummaging through my mother's sparse vanity and finding a 12-year-old, nearly full bottle of Chanel No. 5. Fleur de Peau brought me right back to that floral, slightly soapy scent. Of course, it's different, but there are similarities—notably in the top note, which feels like straight musk. However, while I remember No. 5 being heavy and powdery, Fleur de Peau somehow keeps it feminine and light. (Though it can still last about ten or 12 hours.) It's like something you'd buy your granddaughter before she graduates to Chanel in mid-life. (Or maybe you are the granddaughter looking for something that more reflects this period of time.) After the perfume dries down, the breezy cotton notes come through, a little freshness to cut the sweetness of the iris and ambrette seeds. Ambrette and iris are musky florals, so as the day goes on, that side of the flowers becomes slightly more pronounced, but remains bright. My biggest compliment came when I was wearing this perfume—my friend, one whom I consider the most stylish of all, told me I always smell like this, regardless of what I'm actually wearing…and that she loved it. $240 at Diptyque $240 at Blue Mercury $240 at Bloomingdale's Original Photo by Marissa Wu As the name suggests, Philosykos evokes a long and languid summer in Greece, right at the base of Mount Pelion, leisurely eating figs dripping in honey. This perfume is an ode to the fig tree in its entirety: leaves, sap and wood. If you're not familiar with the delicate, earthy sweetness of a fig, you might mistake it for coconut—I did. But once the aroma hits you, it's impossible not to imagine a pile of the freshly cut fruit on a sunny summer afternoon. The top notes are the fig leaves and fruit, ethereal but not cloy, slowly transforming into the sweet sap. As it settles on the skin, the note of white woods comes through, gentle and raw. It's eventually followed by a milky profile, with just a hint of black pepper. I love that this perfume takes you on a journey through the fig tree…the perfect summer scent. As with most of the other Diptyque perfumes, it's available as an eau de toilette and perfume. I tried the EDT, which lasted a good six to eight hours. Eau de Parfum ($240) Eau de Toilette (from $135) Original photo by marissa wu To be honest, I was concerned when I saw tobacco in the scent description, as I typically can't handle bellicose scents that want to knock you in the nose, like leather. I was prepared to dislike Orphéon, and so was shocked that I ended up actually liking it. Diptyque describes it as having 'striking blue hues offset with glittering silver to conjure up a thrilling, tumultuous night.' It's meant to evoke the legendary, but now defunct Orphéon jazz bar in Paris's Latin Quarter. Indeed, the first notes are smokey and transport you to hazy late nights in the bar. Perhaps, in another life, Audrey Hepburn would have been sitting alongside you, as you inhaled the smoke from the cigarette she was dangling from a long, thin, black cigarette holder, her eyes hidden mysteriously in the clouds. The tobacco notes are tempered by delicate jasmine and juniper berry—sweet but at the same time sharp, as if you've just pulled a bunch from the earth.
