Event set to improve support for staff mental wellbeing as one in five 'can't cope'
Free networking events aiming to improve the way employers support staff wellbeing are set to be launched in Swindon.
Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind (S&G Mind), in partnership with Swindon Borough Council and Business West, is holding a series of events for employers throughout 2025 which are focused on mental health in the workplace.
This comes as recent research suggests that almost a quarter of adults felt unable to manage their daily stress levels, and one in five workers had to take mental health leave from work.
The first event in the Swindon Mindful Employer Network series will be held at 9.30am on April 1 in the Cultural Heritage Institute on London Street.
The session will focus on stress awareness and workplace wellbeing.
Attendees are expected to gain valuable insights, hear real-world experiences, and engage in meaningful conversations designed to help businesses better support their teams and improve productivity.

"Staff are all organisations' most valuable asset, and providing the right support and advice on key mental health issues is crucial.
"Our speakers will share valuable knowledge and experiences, showing how addressing these issues can truly benefit businesses.
'We believe attendees will take away practical strategies to improve employee wellbeing. We're delighted to be collaborating with Swindon Borough Council and Business West on this important initiative for our local community.'
