Bill Murray Reprises Nick The Lounge Singer For ‘SNL50' Concert With Paul Schrader & Special Guests

How do you possibly follow Miley Cyrus and Bad Bunny during the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert? With a classic sketch character. SNL alum Bill Murray graced the stage Friday at Radio City Music Hall in New York City as he reprised his smooth-talking character Nick the Lounge Singer (aka Nick Valentine) from the NBC sketch comedy show, accompanied by Paul Schrader on piano. Murray, who created the character during his 1977-1980 run as an SNL castmember, was then joined by fellow alums Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph and Cecily Strong in '60s chic backup singer attire, accompanying him with a performance of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 'You're All I Need to Get By.' Following the performance, Murray introduced Eddie Vedder, who was followed by performances from Tracy Morgan and The B52s. Hosted by alum Jimmy Fallon, the lineup also features Jelly Roll, Brandi Carlile, Mumford & Sons, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Arcade Fire, Chris Martin, Backstreet Boys, Bonnie Raitt, David Byrne, Brittany Howard, Devo, The Roots, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Robyn, Jack White, Cher, Dave Grohl, Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, St. Vincent and Wyclef Jean.
