Police looking for Youngstown double shooting suspects
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- The Youngstown Police Department is looking for suspects who are accused of being involved in a double shooting, according to a Facebook post. Police said that the shooting happened on May 17 on McGuffey Road. Police asked that if you recognize either of these individuals or have any information regarding their whereabouts to contact Detective Skowron at 330-742-8249. Youngstown elementary school students spend ‘Fun Day' with first responders
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — For students in the Youngstown City School District, this is the last week of classroom instruction. Monday was also 'Fun Day' at Paul C. Bunn Elementary School. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade had the opportunity to meet with local first responders. They also had the chance to see equipment in the Youngstown Police Department Bomb Squad Truck and see a Mahoning County Sheriff's Deputy fly his drone overhead. Emergency crews respond to reported explosion in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Youngstown arson investigators and members of the Youngstown Police Department's Bomb Squad are trying to determine what set off an explosion overnight that heavily damaged a car on the city's West News was told that the owner of a car told authorities he heard a loud 'boom' early Tuesday morning but could not provide a more specific after 9 a.m., the fire department was called to the 600 block of North Hartford Avenue and found the late-model Buick Invision with damage to the back right corner of the vehicle and debris strewn into the street and neighboring one was hurt, and at this point, the case is still under investigation. Officials still looking for men involved in murder case
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force says it is offering a reward for information that would lead to the capture of fugitives in a local murder case. Vincent Marbley and Eddie Winphrie are wanted by the Youngstown Police Department and the United States Marshals Service for murder and tampering with evidence. The pair was also named Fugitive of the Week back in October. Marbley and Winphrie are alleged to have been involved in the murder of 24-year-old Reynaldo Hernandez, who was shot in a Bott Street home and then dumped at a cemetery at Liberty Road and Wardle Avenue. Officials say they're known to frequent the Cleveland, Youngstown and Columbus areas. Earlier this month, Andre Bailey was sentenced to 39 years to life in prison for aggravated murder, tampering with evidence, being a felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated robbery in the same case. Two additional co-defendants pleaded guilty before the trial to tampering with evidence charges.
