Meta glasses records attempted assault, helps make arrest
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A victim wearing Ray Ban Meta glasses was able to record an attempted assault, which helped to make an arrest, police reported.
According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, on January 27 around 6:30 p.m., officers were called to a business on Academy Street for a report of an assault.
Police say the victims were playing skill games inside the business when they were approached by a man who asked them for money. The victims said that they refused to give the man money, he left and then returned holding a knife.
Man accused of raping victim at medical facility several times
Investigators stated at this time one of the victims turned on their Ray-Ban Meta glasses and recorded the incident. Officers said the man then told the victims 'I will stab every one of you' and advanced towards them. The victims fled the business and called 911.
The suspect, later identified as Justin Yourglivch, 43, of Hanover Township, was located and arrested.
Yourglivch was transported to headquarters for processing and arraignment.
