Montgomery County hosting job fair for local youth
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — As students wrap up school for the year, they may be interested in summer job opportunities. The Montgomery County Youth Job Fair will be held on Thursday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Day Air Ballpark, located at 220 N. Patterson Boulevard. The job fair will feature over 50 local companies across a variety of industries within Montgomery County. Attendees can meet with employers, submit resumes, participate in on-the-spot interviews and learn more about potential careers in Dayton. 'As a community, we recognize the importance of empowering our youth with opportunities for employment.' said Carolyn Rice, Montgomery County commissioner. 'The Youth Job Fair serves as a pivotal moment where our young talent can connect with employers, gain valuable experience, and embark on their professional journey.' The free event, hosted in partnership with the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), is open to high school students and young adults looking for part-time, summer, or entry-level job opportunities.
