Estyn commends Ysgol Llanedi for curriculum after inspection
Ysgol Gynradd Llanedi in Heol Ebeneser, Llanedi, was the subject of a recent inspection in March 2025.
The school, which is a focal point for the village, provides education for 21 pupils, 19 of whom are of statutory school age.

Inspectors found that "all staff at Ysgol Llanedi work diligently to provide rich and valuable experiences for the school's pupils."
They noted that the school's strong links with the local community are a "notable element of their work."

Members of the community regularly visit the school to help out, talk to pupils, or enjoy the sports day.

Staff and governors were commended for knowing their strengths well and prioritising improvements sensibly.
The report stated that staff provide an "exciting, broad and balanced curriculum that enriches pupils' experiences."

The report also noted that pupils' literacy, numeracy, and digital skills are developing robustly.
They apply their skills in relevant and purposeful activities that maintain pupils' interest for extended periods.

They look after each other carefully in the classroom and on the playground, with the older pupils being extremely caring of the little ones.

Governors play an active and supportive role, ensuring high and sustainable standards.

It suggested that the school should ensure that feedback to pupils is timely and that they have suitable opportunities to improve their work.
The school will now draw up an action plan to address this recommendation from the inspection.
