Yuba County deputies seize 20 pounds of meth, 10 illegal guns
( — A search of a home in Olivehurst revealed several pounds of crystal methamphetamine and 10 illegal guns, according to the Yuba County Sheriff's Office.• Around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, YCSO executed a search warrant at the residence on the 5000 block of N. Gledhill Avenue. Deputies said a man was arrested in connection to 20 pounds of meth the day before. Yuba City police search for woman missing for more than a week, possibly in San Francisco During Wednesday's search, 10 rifles and ammunition were found in the attic of the home, according to YCSO. One of the firearms was reported stolen through an outside agency. Subsequently, deputies arrested another man, age 70, for alleged firearm-related offenses. 2 injured after plane make emergency landing near Yuba County Airport
YUBA COUNTY – Two people were injured after a plane made an emergency landing into an agricultural area north of the Yuba County Airport on Saturday morning, authorities said. The Yuba County Sheriff's Office responded to Feather River Boulevard and Curtis Road around 10:20 a.m. for reports that a private aircraft had made an emergency landing. Deputies said the plane landed without hitting anything on the ground, but it did sustain significant damage when it landed. Two people were onboard the plane and were taken to the hospital with reported minor to moderate injuries, deputies said. The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane was a North American T-28 B. The FAA says it will investigate the crash.
