ITV's broadcast of a Deal Or No Deal celebrity special went down like a lead balloon among viewers who all complained about one particular aspect of the show. Monday's episode was a repeat of the December 8, 2024 special, which featured I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner Sam Thompson attempting the beat the banker.
Stephen Mulhern returned as the host to help Sam, also known for his exploits on Made In Chelsea, win money for his chosen charity as he was reunited with some of his close friends, including TOWIE's Pete Wicks, and his former jungle mates such as actors Danielle Harold and Nick Pickard.
However, viewers were left less than impressed, with complaints flooding in about one particular aspect that detracted from their enjoyment. Disgruntled viewers took to social media to vent, labelling the show "unwatchable".
Criticism was aimed at ITV for allocating screen time to those deemed "Z-List celebrities".

One viewer commented: "You clearly have a very different definition of 'TV legend' than the rest of us. Unless it means the most annoying nothing on TV."
A second viewer flew into a rage, saying: "#DealorNoDeal is on and it's f*****g horrendous at best of times, but f*****g unwatchable with all the Z Lister so called celebrities."
A third questioned the show's casting choices, adding: "There may be an obvious answer but how can Deal or No Deal have a celebrity special without having any celebrities in it."
A fourth quipped about a potential silver lining in the episode, saying: "The only famous one there Paul who has a hilarious TikTok sketches and he just opens a box at the very end #dealornodeal."

Elsewhere, Sam opened up last Sunday about being diagnosed with autism, after having previously disclosed his ADHD diagnosis in 2023. He termed the condition a "blessing" and referred to it as his "superpower".
He candidly admitted feeling there was more to his earlier diagnosis and opted for a fun-filled approach to sharing the news on Instagram. His video featured him portraying two sides of himself – one embodying his true self and the other his ADHD persona.
Text displayed in the engaging clip stated: "You got diagnosed with ADHD in your late twenties, but something still doesn't add up..."
Crafting a light-hearted yet informative narrative, the reality TV personality captioned his post with: "Knew there was more to the story," followed by a chuckling emoji. The post received a wave of affirmative comments, commending his use of humour to highlight and educate on the matter, reports the Express.
