Bernama Wins 2024 MDA Media Award
PUTRAJAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) won the 2024 Media Award at the Medical Devices Authority (MDA) Excellent Service Awards Ceremony at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre here today.
The award was presented by the deputy secretary-general (management) of the Ministry of Health (MOH) Datuk Zahrul Hakim Abdullah to Bernama News Service deputy editor-in-chief Nasriah Darus.
Expressing appreciation to MDA for the award, Nasriah said Bernama would continue to be committed to delivering accurate news in addition to working with MHA to raise awareness on health issues.
"Thank you MDA. As a news agency, it is Bernama's commitment to produce quality news content and we hope that more readers will be aware of health issues," she said.
Meanwhile, content editor Mohd Razman Abdullah said the content of Bernama news portal has been growing since 2018 as a result of the strong commitment from all parties, especially in the Editorial Department, Bernama.
"Regardless of the general news desk, economic desk or editorial desk, various units contribute news content to the portal. From 500 hits, it has now reached 10 million to 12 million every year," he said.
Meanwhile, MDA chief executive Dr P. Muralitharan described the award as an appreciation of media agencies that play a major role in raising the image and name of MDA through the production of news and creative content.
"Media partners are the face of MDA to the outside community and your contributions are greatly appreciated," he said.
