In another blow to food establishments which do not adhere to food safety regulations in Abu Dhabi, authorities in the emirate have decided to administratively close three eateries. Two of the closed establishments are in Abu Dhabi and the third one is located in Al Ain. They violated Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations, The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) said on Friday. The closed eateries are Cettinadu Multi Cuisine Restaurant,Nasayem Alnil Pastries And Sweets and Diamond City Supermarket, it added. Earlier this month, authorities has ordered closure of Zaiqa Grill N Restaurant located in Al Dana for violations of food safety regulations. Prior to that, five restaurants and a supermarket were closed in the emirate for breaching food safety laws. The eateries included Pak Ravi Restaurant, Lahore Garden Grill Restaurant and Cafeteria, Karak Future Cafeteria, Rich and Fresh Supermarket, Salty Desi Darbar Restaurant and Al Maqam Corner Restaurant.

Crackdown on businesses for violating food safety rules continues in Abu Dhabi with another restaurant coming in the line of fire. In its latest order, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered closure of Zaiqa Grill N Restaurant located in Al Dana for violations of Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety and its associated regulations. Earlier this week, five restaurants and a supermarket were closed in the emirate for breaching food safety laws. The eateries included Pak Ravi Restaurant, Lahore Garden Grill Restaurant and Cafeteria, Karak Future Cafeteria, Rich and Fresh Supermarket, Salty Desi Darbar Restaurant and Al Maqam Corner Restaurant. Food safety authorities in Abu Dhabi have shut down a Bengali restaurant in the Capital after it committed repeated violations. Chittagong Restaurant, located in Madinat Zayed Sanaiya, Al Dhafra region, has been administratively shut by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority due to violations of Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations. ‏The establishment's practices posed a serious risk to public health, the authority added in its statement. Crackdown on businesses for violating food safety rules continues in Abu Dhabi as the food safety authority continues to shut down and give warnings to such eateries, while also informing the public about these strict measures. On May 12, another restaurant serving Bengali food was shut down by the Abu Dhabi authority for repeated high-risk food safety violations. The restaurant reportedly failed to address these issues despite previous warnings, endangering consumer health and breaching established food safety standards. Just four days prior to Chittagong's closure, Zaiqa Grill N Restaurant located in Al Dana was shut down for violations of food safety and its associated regulations. In other recent closures, five restaurants and a supermarket were closed on May 13 for breaching food safety laws. The eateries included Pak Ravi Restaurant, Lahore Garden Grill Restaurant and Cafeteria, Karak Future Cafeteria, Rich and Fresh Supermarket, Salty Desi Darbar Restaurant and Al Maqam Corner Restaurant.

ADAFSA closes Zaiqa Grill N Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued a decision to administratively close " Zaiqa Grill N Restaurant L.L.C." located in Al Dana, Abu Dhabi (CN-5255566), due to violations of Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations. Furthermore, the establishment's practices pose a serious risk to public health. ADAFSA clarified that the food control report indicated that the administrative closure decision was issued due to repeated food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, necessitating an immediate intervention to safeguard food safety and consumer health. The Authority also affirmed that the administrative closure order will remain in effect as long as its causes exist. The establishment may resume operations after rectifying its situation and fulfilling all the necessary requirements for practicing the activity, and removing the causes of the violation. In addition, ADAFSA highlighted that the closure and the identification of observed violations are part of ongoing inspection efforts to strengthen the food safety system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It underscores its supervisory role in ensuring that all establishments comply with food safety requirements. All types of establishments and food products are subject to periodic inspections by ADAFSA's inspectors to guarantee compliance with the highest food safety standards. The Authority also encourages the public to communicate with them and report any violations detected in any food establishment, such as non-compliance or suspicion of food content, by calling the toll-free number for the Abu Dhabi Government, 800555. ADAFSA's inspectors will take the necessary measures to ensure the delivery of safe and sound food to all members of the community in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
