Aston Villa agree deal to sign Feyenoord's Zepiqueno Redmond as free agent

Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign Zepiqueno Redmond from Feyenoord on a free transfer. The striker was in Birmingham last week with his representatives to conclude a deal ahead of joining Villa at the start of July. The 18-year-old made his Feyenoord debut in November 2024 and is considered an emerging talent by Villa. Advertisement The club had been keen to recruit a young forward following Jhon Duran's departure in January. Nice's Evann Guessand, 23, was referenced by multiple close observers in January. Villa regard Redmond as market opportunity. He is a versatile forward who can operate anywhere across the frontline, with pace and power. He has made four Eredivisie appearances but is out of contract at the end of the season. Unai Emery's side finished the Premier League campaign in sixth place and will play in the Europa League next season, having missed out on Champions League qualification courtesy of their inferior goal difference to fifth-place Newcastle United.
