British singer Henry Moodie brings viral hits to Asia, kicking off tour in Malaysia with The Vamps' Bradley Simpson
KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 — British pop singer Henry Moodie is set to kick off his first-ever headline tour in Asia this July, with Kuala Lumpur as the opening stop. The 21-year-old, known for viral hits such as Drunk Text, You Were There For Me and Beat Up Car, will perform at Zepp KL on July 16, joined by special guest Bradley Simpson of The Vamps. Drunk Text has propelled Moodie to global popularity, earning him over 600 million streams and a spot among the Top 10 most viewed UK artists on TikTok in both 2022 and 2024. Girl's Day's Hyeri To Hold Fan Meeting In Kuala Lumpur This August
Earlier in April, artist agency Sublime announced that idol-turned-actress Lee Hyeri (혜리) would kick off her 'Welcome to Hyeri's Studio' fan meeting tour in June, with the first stop in Seoul, South Korea. Since the announcement, fans across Asia have been eagerly awaiting news of additional tour dates, and their wishes have come true! The Girl's Day (걸스데이) member took to her official Instagram page to reveal that she will be visiting more countries later this year, with Malaysia included on the list. Here's what we know about the upcoming event: Lee Hyeri first rose to fame after joining the girl group Girl's Day in 2010. The band has released several hit singles, including 'Oh! My God' and 'Female President', with the latter named as one of the '20 Best K-pop Songs of 2013' by Billboard. While still an active member of Girl's Day, the singer made her acting debut in the 2012 series 'Tasty Life'. Since then, she has taken on leading roles in various projects, including 'Reply 1988', 'Entertainer', and the upcoming 2025 GL drama 'Friendly Rivalry'. Now preparing to embark on her tour, Malaysian fans will soon have the chance to see the idol up close and personal. #SHOWBIZ: JoBranko's Barbarik to rock Zepp KL on June 28
KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the birth of their debut album Peluru Cokelat last Nov 9, rock band Barbarik will rock Zepp KL in Jalan Hang Tuah at 8.30pm on June 28. Barbarik comprising vocalist Muss, guitarist JoBranko, bassist Rozaimi and drummer Ainol has been rocking Malaysians since 2022 in four concerts namely Barbarik Keras Stage 1.0 (2022), Double Trouble 2: Search X Barbarik (2023), Barbarik Hardstage 2.0 (2023) and Barbarik Hardstage 3.0 (2024). In a statement yesterday, band leader JoBranko said: "Every concert is bound to have a difference and there is an element of surprise at the opening, middle and closing of the concert. "We assure all fans, this concert will test your adrenaline all the way." JoBranko added that the two-hour concert will feature 20 songs, old and new. "It's going to be non-stop rock action from the word go." The concert is co-organised by Karri Talk Production and Pentas Barbarik Sdn Bhd.
