In a 2011 interview, Amitabh revealed which of his kids will inherit his wealth.
Amitabh Bachchan told Rediff, 'When I die, whatever little I have will be equally divided between my daughter and my son — there is no differentiation. Jaya and I decided on that a long time ago. Everybody says that the girl is paraya dhan, she goes to her husband's house, but in my eyes, she is our daughter; she has the same rights Abhishek has."
According to the Hurun India Rich List 2024, the Don actor and his family have an impressive estimated net worth of Rs 1,600 crore. Apart from his film earnings, the actor has expanded his financial portfolio by investing in a number of companies and business ventures. He has made significant investments in companies like Ziddu, Just Dial, Ujaas Energy, Stampede Capital, Eduisfun, Macmerise Celfie and Fineotex Chemicals.
He also owns or co-owns various brands, which have contributed significantly to his net worth. Amitabh Bachchan also owns a sports team. According to The Economic Times, the iconic actor, in collaboration with UD Group, bought Singapore Slammers, a tennis team in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).
The veteran actor also frequently invests in property. Big B's iconic residence, Pratiksha, in Mumbai's Juhu is estimated to be valued at around Rs 50 crore at the current market price, according to reports.
He and Abhishek Bachchan jointly own a property in Juhu's Kapol Housing Society worth Rs 45 crore. The Kalki 2898 AD actor has residences at Oberoi Seven in Goregaon, Mumbai, valued at Rs 20 crore and Rs 9.5 crore. Also, he has some property in his name in Ayodhya, Pawna, Pune, as well as outside India, like France.
The actor also owns a number of luxury cars worth over Rs 20 crore. He is among the highest-paid actors in Bollywood, reportedly charging upwards of Rs 6 crore per film, according to Caknowledge. As per a Business Standard report, the actor earned Rs 5 crore per episode for Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, and he also charges a similar amount for brand endorsements.
