Yemen under fire: US strikes Houthis
Shafaq News/ US forces launched fresh airstrikes on Yemen on Thursday, marking the latest escalation in a military campaign aimed at curbing the Iran-aligned group's capabilities in the Red Sea region. According to Al-Masirah TV, the Houthis' media outlet, four of the strikes targeted positions in Al-Jawf Province. No casualties were reported. ⭕️عاجل⭕️الجوف: عدوان أمريكي بـ4 غارات على مديرية خب والشعف — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) May 1, 2025 The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has not commented on the latest attacks. However, earlier this week, CENTCOM said it had been conducting 'an intense and sustained campaign' against the Houthi movement since mid-March under the banner of Operation Rough Rider. Since the operation began, US forces have struck more than 800 targets and killed hundreds of Houthi fighters, including senior figures involved in missile and drone operations, the command said. CENTCOM reported a significant drop in attacks attributed to the Houthis, with ballistic missile launches decreasing by 69% and one-way drone strikes falling by 55% since the campaign intensified. The Houthis (Ansarallah) accused the United States of carrying out nearly 1,000 airstrikes on Yemen since March 15. The group claimed that US strikes had killed 217 civilians and wounded 436 others, most of them women and children. #سيد_القول_والفعل #الشعار_سلاح_وموقف — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) May 1, 2025 Houthis leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi vowed to continue attacks despite US efforts to contain them. In a televised address, he declared that naval operations would persist, stating that Israeli shipping remained completely blocked in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea. 'Our operations will continue deep into occupied Palestine,' al-Houthi said, adding that the United States has failed to stop the group's military activities.

Houthi Leader calls for unified Arab and Muslim against 'Zionist-American project'
Shafaq News/ On Thursday, Yemen's Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi accused Israel of 'committing genocide' in Gaza and the West Bank, claiming the campaign is fully backed by the United States. In a televised speech, al-Houthi called for nationwide mobilization across Yemen in support of Palestinians, arguing that Arab silence emboldens Israeli aggression. He claimed over 7,000 settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque during Passover, describing the move as a calculated attempt to 'normalize occupation' and ignite religious tensions. Referencing a viral video depicting the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the construction of a Third Temple, al-Houthi said it reflected Israel's long-term goals, accusing Israeli forces of targeting hospitals, refugee camps, and critical infrastructure, and using starvation as a 'tactic of war.' The Houthi leader also labeled the US a 'partner in crime,' citing continued arms shipments and diplomatic protection for Israeli military operations. He praised Palestinian resistance in Gaza and criticized Arab governments for failing to act, contrasting what he called 'popular solidarity with official inaction.' He urged a unified Arab and Muslim front to counter what he called the 'Zionist-American project.' The Houthi leader claimed Houthi forces had launched nine drone and cruise missile attacks in the past week, disrupting Israeli and American naval operations in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. 'The Bab al-Mandab and the Arabian Sea are closed to Israeli and American ships. That's a fact.' He concluded by warning that continued complicity with Israel would lead to regional catastrophe. 'Resistance is the only path that protects dignity, land, and faith.' Turning to Lebanon, the Yemeni leader accused Washington of attempting to destabilize the country by pressuring factions to side with Israel. He defended Hezbollah as a key line of defense and denounced Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon, claiming Israeli forces had made no advances near the border.

"We will strike": Houthi leader threatens US naval forces
Shafaq News/ Ansarallah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi accused on Sunday, the United States of seeking to impose Israeli dominance over the region and vowed to target American warships in response to ongoing military operations. 'The Israeli enemy does not honor commitments and continues its aggression in the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria,' al-Houthi stated in a televised speech. 'The Americans aim to subjugate the entire region to their Israeli partner.' He warned that US naval forces would be targeted if attacks on Yemen persisted. 'We will strike the American enemy with missile attacks and target its warships. Our naval blockade could also include the US if its aggression continues,' he added. Al-Houthi dismissed the impact of American military operations, insisting they would not weaken the group's capabilities. He reaffirmed support for the Palestinian people against what he described as American-Israeli aggression. Earlier today, the Houthi group announced an attack on the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and its accompanying warships in the northern Red Sea, claiming to have launched 18 ballistic and cruise missiles, along with a drone. The attack followed large-scale US airstrikes on Saturday that targeted dozens of Houthi-controlled sites in Yemen. American officials described the operation as the beginning of a new phase in military action against the group.

Yemen : IDF confirms launch of Houthi missile
The IDF confirmed to JNS on Sunday that it had detected a missile launch from Yemen, which did not hit near Israeli territory. This followed reports from local media stating that the Houthis had fired a projectile that struck in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, near the Red Sea resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh. The IDF clarified that it was not possible to determine the missile's intended target. On March 12, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthis, threatened to resume attacks on 'any Israeli vessel' in nearby maritime routes. His threat came in response to Israel's refusal to allow aid into Gaza. On Feb. 28, al-Houthi had issued a similar warning, saying that missile attacks against Tel Aviv would resume if Israel renewed its military actions against Hamas in Gaza. Since Hamas initiated the conflict with its Oct. 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel, the Houthis have supported the terrorist group. They have fired more than 100 missile and drone attacks at merchant vessels, sinking two ships and killing four sailors. Additionally, they have fired more than 350 drones and missiles at Israel. The Houthis ceased their attacks with the start of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which took effect on Jan. 19. The 42-day Phase 1 of the truce expired on March 1. There are significant gaps in negotiations for Phase 2 of the truce, with Hamas rejecting a U.S. proposal to extend Phase 1 through Ramadan and Passover.
