PM's spokesman Denies Forming a Security Crisis Cell Regarding Developments and Borders with Syria

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief, Sabah al-Numan, denied on Thursday the formation of a security crisis cell regarding developments and border issues with Syria.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Numan said, "Some social media and news websites have circulated reports about (the existence of a decision by the Iraqi government to form a security crisis cell headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to monitor developments and control the Iraqi-Syrian border. This is within the framework of continuing cooperation between neighboring countries to establish a strategic center to ensure security in the region)."
