Israeli strikes kill 11 more in Gaza, including 4 children - War on Gaza

Israeli strikes overnight and into Thursday killed 11 Palestinians, including four children and a Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip. Israel escalated overnight its bombardment of homes and makeshift tents sheltering displaced Palestinians across various areas of Gaza, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries. A strike hit the tent where Hamas spokesman Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua was staying in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza, killing him, Al-Aqsa TV reported. Hamas condemned the killing of al-Qanoua, vowing that the assassination of its leaders will not weaken its resolve. 'The targeting of resistance leaders and spokespeople will not stop our determination,' the group said in a statement. Hamas added that 'the blood of the martyrs will serve as an inspiration to continue the path of resistance until liberation and return.' Another strike near Gaza City killed four children and their parents, according to the emergency service of the Palestinian Health Ministry. According to Al Jazeera, Israel has assassinated senior Hamas figures Ismail Barhoum and Salah al-Bardawil this week, while airstrikes also targeted journalists, including Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent Hossam Shabat. The attack came just hours after the killing of Palestine Today reporter Mohammad Mansour and his family. Since resuming its genocidal war on Gaza on March 18, Israeli strikes have killed 830 Palestinians and injured 1,787—mostly women and children—according to the Palestinian health ministry. The United Nations reported that around 124,000 Palestinians have been displaced again following Israel's renewed deadly bombardment and evacuation orders. Israel has killed at least 50,144 in Gaza, mostly children and women, with 113,704 people injured. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:

Talks ongoing with mediators to halt Israeli aggression : Hamas - War on Gaza

Hamas spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanoua confirmed that negotiations with mediators are ongoing to stop Israeli renewed attacks on Gaza and to ensure that Israel abides by the ceasefire agreement. "We remain committed to the ceasefire agreement and are working with mediators to permanently spare our people from war and to secure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza," al-Qanoua said in a statement. Egypt, Qatar and the US helped to broker the ceasefire agreement in Gaza that took effetct in 19 January. He also called for urgent action from the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, emphasizing that the Israeli blockade, starvation, and the genocide in Gaza require immediate intervention to save lives and lift the occupation siege. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Wednesday with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. During the conversation, both sides discussed the latest developments in Gaza and ongoing efforts to solidify the ceasefire agreement. They also addressed preparations for the Cairo Conference on the reconstruction of Gaza. Om Wednesday, a Hamas official emphasized that Palestinian group has not shut the door on negotiations, after Israel renewed its war on Gaza breaking the January 19 ceasefire deal. "Hamas has not closed the door on negotiations but we insist there is no need for new agreements," Taher al-Nunu told AFP on the phone, also calling for Israel to be forced to implement the ceasefire. "There is no need for new agreements in light of the existing agreement signed by all parties," he added. Under the ceasefire deal drafted under former US president Joe Biden's administration, a second phase of the truce should have begun in early March. The agreement stipulated that Israeli forces should withdraw from Gaza and that a more lasting ceasefire should take effect during a second phase. "We have no conditions, but we demand that the occupation be compelled to immediately halt its aggression and war of extermination, and begin the second phase of negotiations," Nunu said.
