Al Hajar mountains likely to receive above-average rainfall in July, August
Muscat: The al Hajar Mountains are expected to witness above-average rainfall in the next period, according to seasonal forecasts issued by Oman Meteorology.
Speaking on the sidelines of a media briefing hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority, Abdullah al Khadhuri, Director General of Oman Meteorology, said that the Al Hajar range and surrounding areas are likely to receive higher-than-usual rainfall in July and August.
Commenting on the Khareef season in Dhofar, al Khadhuri said that fog and light drizzle are forecast to prevail in the days ahead, adding that visitors to the governorate can soon expect to enjoy its lush greenery.
He added that this year's Khareef is expected to be moderate, encouraging residents and tourists alike to visit Dhofar and experience its captivating climate.
