Scientists are BAFFLED by a mysterious deformed skull discovered in Argentina - as some claim it could be so-called 'ANTMEN'

With its weird elongated skull, it looks like the long lost remains of an alien visitor to Earth. Wherever it's from, scientists have been left utterly baffled by this mysterious deformed skull discovered in Argentina. Archeologists say the skull – found by workers at San Fernando, Catamarca province – has a structure that differs markedly from that of a conventional person. The cranium is hugely elongated, as if it once housed a brain that was bigger and more powerful than that of any known human. Some local media have been describing it as a newly-found group of archaic humans. Others have been dubbing it 'antmen' in reference to the dog-sized army of ants that appeared in Greek mythology. Also known as Myrmekes, antmen lived in enormous anthills with complex winding passageways loaded with stolen loot, according to legend. But the skull's head shape also bears a stunning similarity to the extraterrestrials that appeared in the 1990s sci-fi classic ' Mars Attacks!' The 'unexpected discovery' was made by construction workers during an excavation for the installation of drinking water, local daily newspaper El Ancasti reports. The workers found two funerary urns containing human remains – one of which contained the unusually-shaped skull. One of the urns reportedly contained a complete skeleton, while the other contained partial remains that will also be analysed by experts at the National University of Catamarca. 'What drew the most attention was the unusual shape of one of the skulls , whose structure differs markedly from that of a conventional human,' the paper said. 'The discovery generated great interest and was reported to the provincial anthropology authorities, who are expected to arrive on the site. 'The site has been fenced and remains under guard to preserve the remains and facilitate the work of specialists.' As the news was revealed locally, certain media described the skull as 'antmen' in reference to the Greek legend, Heritage Daily reports, but the truth may be even more grizzly and unpleasant It's possible the owner had their skull cruelly deformed in a barbaric method called 'artificial cranial deformation'. Artificial cranial deformation involved applying pressure to infants' skulls with splints or bandages when the bones were still flexible, resulting in an elongated skull with a flat or curved line across the back marking the area where the pressure was applied. This ancient cultural practice was commonplace by groups such as the Ciénaga and Aguada people that lived between the 3rd and 12th centuries AD. Rick Schulting, a professor of prehistoric archaeology at the University of Oxford, said cranial modification was a common practice in many parts of the world, including western South America. 'This was done for various reasons, including aesthetics and marking out social groups – e.g., ethnicity or higher social status,' he told MailOnline. 'It was done by binding an infant's head with bands, sometimes using boards to achieve the desired shape. There is no evidence that this ever harmed the infant.' Dr Heidi Dawson-Hobbis, senior lecturer in biological anthropology at the University of Winchester, said 'it looks like the skull may be of a juvenile'. 'From looking at the photo my first thought was hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain), but it is difficult to tell from the photograph,' she told MailOnline. 'Alternatively depending on the date of the remains various different cultures in South America practised head binding or the use of cradle boards which led to modified skull shapes.' 'Trepanning', also known as 'trepanation', involved a piece of bone being drilled and removed from the skull. Pictured, a trepanated Neolithic skull Other artificial cranial shapes opted for by various cultures around the world included rounded and conical, but ancient people worldwide practiced even more dramatic alterations to their skull, including 'trepanning', also known as 'trepanation'. This involved a piece of bone being drilled and removed from the skull, usually with the goal of relieving pressure or fulfilling ritualistic practices. It's unclear what state the second skull newly found in the other Argentinian funerary urn is in; MailOnline has contacted the authorities for more information. In a statement, experts at National University of Catamarca said: 'Interpreting these findings offers and opportunity to deepen our connection with our ancestry. 'By respecting and valuing these cultural practices and their meanings, we honour the memory of our ancestors and connect with them through our shared human experience.' THE BIZARRE HISTORICAL PRACTICE OF TREPANATION Trepanation is a procedure which was done throughout human history. It involves removing a section of the skull and was often done on animals and humans. The first recorded proof of this was done on a cow in the Stone Age 3,000 years ago. It was a process that was still being conducted in the 18th century. The belief was that for many ailments that involved severe pain in the head of a patient, removing a circular piece of the cranium would release the pressure. Before then, dating back to the Neolithic era, people would drill or scrape a hole into the head of people exhibiting abnormal behaviour. It is thought that this would release the demons held in the skull of the afflicted.

Scientists studying ‘UFO orb' that ‘landed in Colombia' claim mysterious object is ‘alien' after scanning it with X-rays

SCIENTISTS are studying a mysterious "UFO orb" which landed in Colombia and is said to be "alien". Boffins released X-ray images of the mind-boggling sphere, after witnesses claimed to have seen it flying over the town of Buga in March. 7 7 It was said to have been zig-zagging through the skies in an unconventional flying pattern. The "UFO sphere" was reportedly recovered shortly after landing. It has since been analysed by scientists who have now revealed their groundbreaking research on the "extraterrestrial item". They discovered that it featured three layers of metal-like material and 18 micro-spheres inside which surrounded a central nucleus. Scientists are calling this core "a chip". A radiologist who examined the sphere Dr Joe Luis Velazquez said that they found "no welds or joints", which usually indicate human production. The scientist concluded: "It is of artificial origin, in that it shows no evidence of welding, and its internal structure is composed of high-density elements. "More testing is needed to establish its origin." The mind-blowing object also displayed symbols that the team compared to ancient scripts. These included runes, Ogham and Mesopotamian writing systems. Watch terrified Russians blast at mystery rumbling 'UFO helicopter' over MOSCOW making beeline for Vlad…but what is it? The scientists used AI to help them decode the bizarre text. They interpreted it as saying: "The origin of birth through union and energy in the cycle of transformation, meeting point of unity, expansion, and consciousness—individual consciousness." The researchers said that they understood the text to be a "message to humanity, encouraging a collective shift in consciousness to help Mother Earth". The object was recovered on March 2 by a group of people who said it weighed about four and a half pounds. They described it as having "the temperature of a refrigerator" when they touched it. 7 7 One of the individuals who recovered the object David Velez el Potro said that the object was authentic, and claimed to have found it in the woods in Buga. He also said the man who found and touched it, Jose, felt sick for days after touching the alien sphere. Velez el Potro said: "When I poured water on it, it started to smoke and the water vaporised instantly." There are yet to be any official reports or scientific analysis to confirm claims of a sphere falling over Buga - only eyewitness reports. Velez el Potro added the government contacted him to hand over the sphere, but he refused, arguing that it would "never be seen again". Researchers found that the sphere had irregular edges which indicated "that it is a solid object". The outer layer was said to be the most dense area, almost possessing human bone density. The breakthrough research suggests that the outer layer could be made of titanium or steel. FAMOUS UFO INCIDENTS The 'Night of the UFOs' is among many famous unexplained encounters with strange objects in the sky that have happened down the years. Perhaps the most striking was a video known as the 'Tic-Tac' – which showed an unidentified object being pursued by fighter planes. While flying off the coast of California 2004, two pilots from the USS Nimitz on a routine training mission spotted an object "shaped like a 40ft Tic Tac sweet". Then in 2005, a veteran pilot of an F/A - 18 fighter aircraft witnessed a raft of strange objects in the sky during a training exercise off the coast of Florida. The two videos were sensationally released by the Pentagon in 2017. Tragically the pursuit of UFOs has also claimed lives, notably that of US Air Force Captain Thomas Mantell. He died after being sent to chase a mysterious object in his fighter aircraft in 1948. Other encounters with the air force include a claim that UFOs disabled weapons at a nuclear base. Captain Robert Salas said the bizarre incident unfolded in 1967 while he was the on-duty commander of a secret underground launch control facility at Montana's Malmstrom Air Force Base. US forces based in Britain also had an encounter with a strange glowing in the sky in Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk. Two airmen, Staff Sgt Jim Penniston and Airman John Burroughs, claim they got so close to a triangular craft they actually touched it. Earlier this year, US military documents were released showing how a warship was shadowed by two "ball of light" UFOs deepening the mystery around the case. But the scientists still need a full composition analysis to confirm this. The 18 smaller spheres within the object's centre appeared to be aligned in a non-randomised pattern. Boffins are currently referring to the 18 points as "a chip" due to their precise arrangement and location within the spherical object. The team also observed a central band composed of a different material, which contained more small spheres. They think that these may have been placed inside before the object was sealed. But the X-rays did not reveal any visible signs of assembly techniques by humans. 7 7

Revenge of the Savage Planet Guide: 'Taking Control' Walkthrough

Mission List (Tap to jump down the page!) Taking Control The Lower PH The Better Taking Control Back to top ↑ When you touch down on Quasadron IX, it's now time to make our final march toward the last supply crate. The planet is massive and full of gorgeous topography that looks like an alien African Savannah. Speaking of which, within the Savannah Lake location, you'll unlock another new mission called: The Lower PH The Better. The Lower PH The Better Back to top ↑ This is a relatively simple but necessary detour to bolster out your gear with one of the crucial upgrades to complete the game. Within the Savannah Lake area, head over to the pointer and you'll find some slug-like creatures called Sluggator patrolling. They'll also have tongues that will whip in your direction and pull you in so just keep shooting to kill them. Look out for a cracked hole in the ground and use your Stomp Boost to fall down to the lower area, where you'll find the Alpha Sluggator patrolling. Stagger and capture, then research back at the base. Once that's done, you need to make sure you have the following resources to craft: Carbon: 550 Silicon: 375 Aluminium: 425 Next, go ahead and print the Blight Bomb Stabilizer from the printer. In doing so, this will complete the mission. With the Blight Bomb Stabilizer in hand, we can now use blight bombs as projectiles to launch into the amber to melt it. The green plants with bulbs on are where you can restock (pictured below). The aim here is to basically make it up to the peak of the main rock-face in the middle of the map which – if you've been exploring thoroughly up until this point – you've only really been running around the periphery of. When you make it to the Florian's Fuchsia Festivus area, look out for this rock with amber at the top of it (pictured below) looking like a beacon to the south. It's near the water and hard to miss: Break the amber and use this platform to climb up to the higher levels. It may take some doing because the platforming here is very meticulous and requires you to hit just right so you climb up from the edge. Also watch out for the green goo on the platforms beyond this because they will slow you down if you're not careful. To avoid getting stuck, take a running jump and make sure you activate the teleporter on the other side too! If you get stuck over which direction to go in the next area with all the pink grass, if you cycle around to the north, you'll find a route up by using your water hose to create platforms. Once you get to the Summit, you'll find a Shrine location (more on that in our guide HERE) and the final crate in the middle of the area, with a teleporter in the distance. Activate the crate and grab the Remote Drone Controller. With a forcefield around the area, you can now control your drone to access previously inaccessible areas that can be very useful to grab supply crates and solve puzzles. For this one, you simply need to fly as EKO outside the green forcefield (you can just fly straight out, it won't damage the drone) and plug into the three consoles in the back by hitting Square (X) to plug in. Once you've done all three, the forcefield will lift. It will also complete the mission Taking Control and That Has My Name On It too!

Scientists studying spherical UFO say they've discovered alien technology

Scientists have released the first X-ray images of a mysterious, sphere-shaped object recovered in Colombia, which locals claim is of alien origin. The so-called ' UFO ' was spotted in March over the town of Buga, zig-zagging through the sky in a way that defies the movement of conventional aircraft. The object was recovered shortly after it landed and has since been analyzed by scientists, who discovered it features three layers of metal-like material and 18 microspheres surrounding a central nucleus they are calling 'a chip.' Dr Jose Luis Velazquez, a radiologist who examined the sphere, reported finding 'no welds or joints,' which would typically indicate human fabrication. He and his team concluded: 'It is of artificial origin, in that it shows no evidence of welding, and its internal structure is composed of high-density elements. More testing is needed to establish its origin.' The sphere also displays symbols that the team compared to ancient scripts, including runes, Ogham and Mesopotamian writing systems. Using AI to assist in deciphering the design, the team interpreted the message to read: 'The origin of birth through union and energy in the cycle of transformation, meeting point of unity, expansion, and consciousness—individual consciousness.' 'We interpret it as a message to humanity, encouraging a collective shift in consciousness to help Mother Earth—especially considering the current issues with pollution and environmental decline,' the researchers said. The object was recovered on March 2 by a group of people, who said it weighed about four and a half pounds and had 'the temperature of a refrigerator' when touched. David Velez el Potro, one of the individuals who recovered the object, recently spoke on Maussan Television hosted by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, whose research has stirred controversy for nearly a decade. Maussan gained attention in 2017 when he claimed to have discovered alien mummies in Peru—findings that remain unconfirmed. But Velez el Potro has claimed that the sphere is authentic, found in the woods of Buga. He told Maussan that the man who found it, Jose, felt sick for days after touching the object. 'When I poured water on it, it started to smoke and the water vaporized instantly,' Velez el Potro added, suggesting the interior was hot and exterior cold. However, there are no official reports or or scientific analysis to confirm claims of a sphere falling over Buga. Only eyewitness reports. Velez el Potro said the government contacted him to hand it over the sphere, but he refused, saying, 'It would never be seen again.' So he gave it to Maussan and his team of experts with hopes of them uncovering the sphere's origin. Researchers found that the sphere had irregular edges, 'indicating that it is a solid object.' The outer layer appeared to be the densest—comparable to human bone. 'The center of the sphere shows a lower radio-acoustic density than the edge, indicating an internal structure that may be more porous or composed of less dense material than the outer shell,' said Nacho Rojo, host of the YouTube channel Hidden Truth, during the interview with Maussan. The findings suggest that the outer layer could be made of titanium or steel, but researchers noted that a full composition analysis is needed to confirm this. X-rays also revealed 18 small dots within the center of the object, arranged in what appeared to be a non-random pattern. The team speculated that the 18 points could be sensors, bolts or fragments of microspheres. 'Obviously, we don't know the composition or how it was manufactured, but it appears to be an object intentionally built to house these small metallic components internally,' Rojo said, referring to insights shared during the X-ray analysis. Scientists are currently referring to the 18 points as 'a chip' due to their precise arrangement and location within the sphere. 'The symmetry suggests advanced technology or deliberate engineering,' Rojo added. He also noted, 'These 18 points show no signs of fracture, meaning the object remains structurally intact.' X-rays revealed that the points extend approximately 0.5 centimeters into the interior of the sphere. Additionally, the team observed a central band composed of a different material, which contained more small spheres. They believe these may have been placed inside before the object was sealed. However, the X-rays did not reveal any visible signs of assembly techniques.
