My house's aluminum trim is peeling. What are my options?
Q: The white coating on our aluminum trim is peeling badly in places, particularly on the sunnier side of our house. The contractor who installed the siding, windows and trim in 2009 is no longer in business. Can we repaint the trim, or do we need to replace it?
A: Aluminum trim can definitely be painted. The process is similar to painting wood trim, except that you need a different primer.
