EXCLUSIVE Controversial actors Kevin Spacey and James Franco skip Cannes' amFAR Gala afterparty
James Franco and his girlfriend Izabel Pakzad skipped this year's 'chaotic' amFAR Gala's The After party at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, during the Cannes Film Festival, which saw celebrity guests forced to queue for hours. On Thursday evening, Franco, 47, was believed to have avoided the 'overcrowded' event at the Domaine La Dilecta, which was attended by scandal-plagued actor Kevin Spacey, with manic scenes forcing police to be called. Since 2017, over 30 men accused Spacey of sexual assault or inappropriate behavior, which led to Netflix axing his role on House Of Cards. He was found not guilty In July 2023 of assaulting four men after a four-week trial in London. A source said of amFAR's event: 'It was absolute chaos and mayhem at the amfAR afterparty at the gate. The organizers weren't checking in guests via a guest list, so the crowd waiting to get in built up and was too much for the security to handle. 'People were literally squashed against one another at the gates for a very long time. Some people didn't get in until 4am and the party went until 7am. The police were called, and there were about three or four cars that were parked outside the venue.' Leaving the amFAR Gala earlier in the evening, Franco looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo while Izabel, 29, stunned in a black lace gown. At an event on Tuesday, Spacey, 65, returned to the spotlight to collect a Lifetime Achievement Award at Cannes after claims he was not welcome at the film festival. The controversial actor took the opportunity to slam 'blacklisting' in Hollywood. Spacey, who made his first visit to Cannes since 2016 to promote his new film The Awakening, was 'recognized not only for his decades of artistic brilliance but also his enduring impact on cinema and the arts', according to a statement.

The prestigious amfAR, or The Foundation for AIDS Research, is one of the biggest nonprofit organisations that supports AIDS research, HIV prevention, educating society, and advocacy. The amfAR foundation was started in 1985, and since then it has collected more than $920 million and raised $2.5 million during last year's gala alone. Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle appears to be enjoying her single life as she flaunted her assets in a very risqué, fiery red dress while attending the 31st amFAR Gala in Cannes on Thursday. Guilfoyle, 56, walked the carpet wearing a long-sleeve gown which featured a very revealing top with much of her chest exposed behind a thin veil of mesh fabric. Floral and silk detailing was the only thing that prevented her baring all at the star-studded Gala. The waist of the gown was cinched, showing off her physique, while the envelope-style skirt showed off her trim pins with mesh, floral embroidered detailing. She paired the look with a pair of seriously high, silver bedazzled pumps that were dripping in gems. The former model completed the bold outfit with a metallic silver clutch by designer Valentino Garavani, whose bags typically retail for thousands of dollars, along with $510 large embellished earrings that appeared to be from Amina Muaddi. However, it's an ensemble that Guilfoyle already appeared to have worn once before. She wore th e bright red gown in an editorial spread last month, as she appeared on the April 2025 cover of Metropolitan Palm Beach, a luxury magazine. In the picture, Guilfoyle donned the dress, posing with one hand on her hip and giving a sultry look into the camera. The former Fox News host seems to be bouncing back from heartbreak, as broke the news that she had split from Don Jr. last winter. Around the time of their split, an insider told People that 'Don Jr. has been telling people for months that Kim is so uptight and always dresses so professionally in these kinds of dresses and high heels, and never looks relaxed or casual.' Guilfoyle and Don Jr. had been dating since around 2018, shortly after he had split from his first wife, Vanessa Trump. Her mother Inger, still a beauty at 74, has an $11.5million home in an exclusive section of the Florida beach town while Bettina lives in a comparatively townhouse in West Palm Beach, less than a mile from Mar-a-Lago. She accompanied Don Jr. to President Donald Trump's inauguration in January, as well as subsequent events that weekend. Ahead of the festival, the official FAQ website for the event shared updated dress code requirements that stated, 'voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater are not permitted.' Less applicable to Klum was another headline-making rule that stated, 'nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival,' due to 'decency reasons.' Halle Berry, who is serving on this year's competition jury, admitted that she had to make a last minute outfit change because of the new rules. 'I had an amazing dress by Gupta that I cannot wear tonight because it's too big of a train,' Berry said during a Cannes press conference on May 13, per Variety, regarding her look for tonight's opening night gala. 'I'm not going to break the rules. The nudity part is also probably a good rule.' However, Klum's Cannes wardrobe is always pushing boundaries, so we're guessing the model didn't want to opt for a simpler look. In 2023, Klum took over the red carpet in a yellow, cutout gown with billowing sleeves that she tossed into the air to add drama to her photos.
