20 Memes On 'X' That Sum Up Elon Musk-Donald Trump's Messy Public Breakup

Last Updated: Elon Musk-Donald Trump's bromance has reached a bitter, ugly end and people on 'X' have grabbed popcorn, excitedly watching the world burn. It's a great day for chronically online folks on the web. The richest man in the world is up against the leader of the free world. If you have just tuned in, Tesla chief Elon Musk is currently having a public (read: ugly) fallout with US President Donald Trump. Why? Trump has threatened to axe government contracts with Musk's companies, prompting Musk to call for Trump's impeachment. The RocketMan had famously rallied behind Trump in the months leading up to the Presidential elections in the US on November 5, 2024. But now, the bromance is dead. 'I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped Elon a lot," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. 'Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore." Then, Elon Musk exploded on 'X'. Exhibit 1: 'The Trump tariffs will cause a recession in the second half of this year." Exhibit 2: 'In light of the President's statement about cancellation of my government contracts, @SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately." Exhibit 3: 'Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Were the good folks on 'X' silent spectators of Musk's meltdown down? Not really. They were ready like never before. Dropping everything they were doing, the public gathered on 'X' with their tickets and tubs of popcorn. #1 this is like kendrick vs drake but with two drakes— Fred Delicious 🍆 (@Fred_Delicious) June 5, 2025 #2 The funniest possible outcome is definitely Trump deporting him.— Franklin Leonard (@franklinleonard) June 5, 2025 #3 Broooos please noooooo 🫂 We love you both so much— ye (@kanyewest) June 5, 2025 #4 This is the day I knew the relationship wouldn't last. — Alex Cole (@acnewsitics) June 5, 2025 #5 Facebook is going to go crazy when they see these tweets next month— Trung Phan (@TrungTPhan) June 5, 2025 #6 Wait… is this the best meme ever made? — Seth Abramson (@SethAbramson) June 5, 2025 #7 today is the greatest day in american political history and I don't think it's even close— america's laziest lounge singer (@KrangTNelson) June 5, 2025 #8 Days like this only come around once every few years. Chipotle's shock restaurant expansion into new country is mocked by customers

Fans cannot stop mocking Chipotle's newest and 'pointless' business venture. The restaurant chain stirred up a social media frenzy after announcing April 21 that it had signed a new development agreement. The agreement, in partnership with the restaurant operator Alsea, will allow Chipotle to open its first restaurant in Mexico next year. 'We are confident that our responsibly sourced, classically-cooked real food will resonate with guests in Mexico,' said chief business development officer Nate Lawson. 'The country's familiarity with our ingredients and affinity for fresh food make it an attractive growth market for our company.' Despite the potential attraction, fans cannot stop comparing the business move to restaurateurs ' opening an Olive Garden in Italy.' Others have compared the opening to a ' Panda Express in Beijing,' and a Subway selling '"steak and cheese" in Philly.' Many X users who called the venture a 'joke' claimed the chain's food is more expensive than other options in Mexico. 'Chipotle is too sweet / not spicy / not enough meat on burritos by mexican standards, this works in America but won't go far in mexico, ask Italians how they feel about american pizza lol,' a fan wrote. 'This is pointless imo street tacos are everywhere in Mexico $1 for the most authentic taco you'll ever have or a $10 chipotle bowl…..,' another person claimed. Although social media appears unimpressed with the announcement, Alsea is thrilled over the partnership. 'We are proud to work with an iconic brand like Chipotle and help grow its international business for years to come,' said Alsea CEO Armando Torrado. 'Through this development agreement, we will continue to leverage our vast knowledge of the Mexican consumer and restaurant industry expertise to bring our customers the best food experiences and brands from around the world.' Chipotle has not shared what foods will be included in its upcoming Mexico store's menu. However, social media users are hoping the restaurant will have less 'American style' and more 'Mexican' options. Social media users mocked and slammed Chipotle for its decision to expand the chain to Mexico Chipotle made headlines in 2023 after signing its first international development agreement with the Alshaya Group. This deal allowed the chain to open restaurants in the Middle East. As of now, three restaurants in Kuwait and two in United Arab Emirates are open. Chipotle also operates locations in Canada, the UK, France, and Germany. The restaurant chain is in the process of opening between 315 and 345 eateries this year. The company has not announced where each store will open, but that it's long term goal is to open 7,000 restaurants in the US and Canada. The restaurant chain was one of many that hiked its prices following tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump. It sources products from regional and local suppliers nationwide, but also receives them from other tariff recipients like Australia and China. The company had already been under fire for raising its menu prices, which affected its financial performance from October to December of last year. Chipotle's quarterly performance did not stop it from having 'another outstanding year,' after having racked in $11.3 billion in revenue last year. It also opened 119 company-owned restaurants, with 95 locations featuring a Chipotle and one being outside the US. Including these new locations, Chipotle operates more than 3,700 restaurants worldwide.

Where We Are Going Today: ‘American Corner' – authentic American breakfast in Jeddah

American Corner has been the go-to spot for many American breakfast-lovers in Jeddah since 1989. From the moment you walk in, the cozy vibes, checkered floors and warm lighting set a nostalgic tone — the kind that will make you want to linger over coffee and pancakes a little longer with a friend or simply enjoy some alone time. The menu features authentic American breakfast culture: Fluffy pancakes, crispy hash browns, buttermilk waffles, cheese-loaded omelettes and the ever-satisfying eggs with turkey bacon or sausage in generous portions. One of the standouts is the chicken and waffles, golden and crispy, which hits that sweet-and-savory balance. The classic American breakfast platter is another favorite. It features eggs, toast, your choice of meat and a side. It is simple, comforting and delicious. My personal favorite is the hotdog, made the American way with mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise in a fresh, soft, long bun. I also like the buttered corn, brownies and a smooth flat white to tie it all together. If you have a sweet tooth, do not miss the famous French toast, topped with fresh berries and maple syrup. Service is friendly and American Corner does a great job of maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere, even during the busy morning rush. Prices are reasonable, considering the portion sizes and quality. If you are in the mood for brunch or something more savory, you will find hearty options including burgers, pasta and salmon or shrimp served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. After Trump-Zelensky blowup, Europe may be more willing to seize frozen Russian assets while EU official says ‘free world needs a new leader'

The shouting match between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday may spur European countries to take bigger steps to ensure aid keeps flowing to Kyiv as it struggles to fight off Russia's invasion. Top geopolitical analyst Ian Bremmer said an EU seizure of Russia's frozen assets is now more likely. European leaders expressed support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after getting in a heated argument with President Donald Trump on Friday, raising speculation on what actions they could take to back up their words. The diplomatic meltdown in the Oval Office sank hopes for a US-Ukraine mineral deal that could have eased the path for more support and an eventual end to the war. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is reportedly considering a halt to all US military aid. Before the blowup, some European counties were eyeing a massive pot of money: the roughly $200 billion of Russian assets in the EU that were frozen after Vladimir Putin launched his war on Ukraine three years ago. Interest from those assets are already being used to back an earlier 50 billion-euro loan to Ukraine. But some leaders are concerned about the legality of an outright seizure of Russia's currency, gold, and government bonds, which could also raise doubts about the safety of certain assets across global markets. Now, the prospect of US aid ending soon could overcome lingering resistance. "european union now more likely to seize russia's frozen assets, making up for loss of american support for ukraine," Ian Bremmer, president of political risk research and consulting firm Eurasia Group, posted on X on Friday. That comes as Europe reckons with a possible future without US leadership, including a trans-Atlantic alliance that has been the bulwark of Washington's security shield for nearly 80 years. The EU's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, signaled after the Trump-Zelensky shouting match on Friday that Europe will try to fill the void. "The free world needs a new leader," she said. "It's up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge." Kallas, a lawyer and a former prime minister of Estonia, has also been a proponent of seizing Russia's frozen assets. In December, she said Ukraine has a legitimate claim for compensation and suggested the frozen Russian assets would help pay the damage Moscow has inflicted. On Monday, she said one more EU country had switched from opposing an asset seizure to supporting it without naming the member state, but acknowledged the difficulty of getting unanimous approval. "This is what I have always said: eventually, especially in the situation where we are right now, we all come to the conclusion that our taxpayers should not be the ones who are paying for this," Kallas added. "It should come from the country that destroys Ukraine, which is Russia." Leaders from Poland, Estonia, and Finland recently added to growing calls for seizure. And on Monday, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala joined in, saying Trump is completely transforming US foreign policy. But the Eurasia Group's Bremmer expressed doubts that Europe will step up its support for Ukraine meaningfully. "Are the Europeans willing to stand up for themselves, for their principles, for their values, and for fellow Europeans? And I fear the answer is no," he said in a video posted on Saturday. "Analytically, everything we've seen for the last three years is that they're going to talk a really good game and they're not going to do very much. But we shall see. And we shall see very soon because this is the future of the West. This is the future of democracy. And it sure as hell is the future of the Ukrainians." This story was originally featured on
