The Boston Celtics are facing some tough choices this summer. Jayson Tatum's Achilles injury likely means the team won't be a contender in the 2025-26 season. As such, the Celtics' potential $500 million payroll is untenable, and changes will likely be needed.
With that in mind, Celtics fans have spent the opening weeks of their offseason debating what members of the Celtics' championship roster could be heading for the exit door. Both Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis are viewed as the two most logical candidates. Sam Hauser and Jaylen Brown have also been floated as more extreme cuts, depending on what direction Brad Stevens chooses to take.
